AL LEONG — THE ULTIMATE AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUY
YUJI OKUMOTO — KARATE KID 2'S CHOZEN!

We’re extremely excited about the amazing actors who have already signed onto the project. Their diverse skills and experiences in action movies, comedies and dramas give us the team we need to make Awesome Asian Bad Guys (AABG) as hilarious and straight up kick-ass as humanly possible.

When we were growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, we’d always see hard-hitting Asian bad guys in flicks like Die Hard, Bloodsport, and Karate Kid 2. These badasses were often cooler than the heroes they fought, but they’d usually have a 2-minute lifespan before they were mortally wounded or beaten to a pulp. It really sucked that you barely saw them on screen and rarely got to know them. That got us thinking...
How cool would it be to expand upon this largely ignored slice of pop culture history by following several Asian bad guys on their own action-packed adventures?
Incredibly cool, right? So we’re making it - AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS!

Awesome Asian Bad Guys is a 5-episode action comedy web series that’s a cross between The Expendables and Dumb & Dumber.
The story follows two filmmakers who rush to assemble a volatile group of Asian bad guy actors to take down LA’s most nefarious mobster. But in order to pull off their tricky mission, this unpredictable batch of misfits must do the one thing they hate most - work together.

We’ve been working on this project all summer long, developing the script, assembling a talented team of seasoned professionals in front of and behind the camera and starting to build support via our National Film Society YouTube channel and social media networks. We’ll begin pre-production this fall and start filming on location in Los Angeles this winter. Once production wraps, we’ll commence editing in order to have all 5 episodes completed in 2013.

Kickstarter is an online fundraising platform that allows creators like us to make cool projects through direct support from everyday people like you. However, Kickstarter is an all or nothing proposition. If we don't hit the fundraising goal by our deadline, your credit card will not be charged, and we will not get any money at all. Please don't let that happen!
Join us in making Awesome Asian Bad Guys a reality by contributing before it's too late! In exchange for your pledge, you'll receive sweet rewards depending on how much you contribute. All payments are processed through Amazon.com.
Here’s how you can help us make AABG through Kickstarter:
- Hit the “Back This Project” button.
- Enter your pledge amount & select your reward.
- Confirm payment via Amazon.com.
