Card Caddy Triple Decker
The only card case that turns into a discard tray - holds 100+ sleeved cards or 4+ standard decks - lots of cool customization options!
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Wed, October 17 2018 1:57 PM UTC +00:00.
Introducing the Card Caddy Triple Decker!
- Deck box and draw/discard tray
- Holds 100+ sleeved cards OR 4+ playing card decks
- Lots of great modular add-ons as stretch goals so you can use it for mini-cards and to store dice, tokens, chips coins, dice towers and more!
Through Kickstarter and over a thousand of awesome backers like you, we've been able to fund the production of our Single Decker, Double Decker and Accessory Pack in our Card Caddy line, and now we're excited to announce our Triple Decker!
Every other deck box gets pushed to the side or set on the floor when it's game time, but the Card Caddy keeps your cards exactly where you want them anywhere, anytime! We design all our products to be mobile, modular and multi-purpose - we think you'll be thrilled with the Triple Decker and the stretch goals we have lined up, too.
We're also excited to announce our first stretch goal! At $25,000 our ModPack for the Triple Decker will become available as a standalone reward or bundled with the Triple Decker tiers. The ModPack gives you some cool customization options:
- The Divider can snap into the Triple Decker to store mini-cards. You'll be able to store 200+ sleeved mini-cards using the Divider
- Or, you can keep one half open and then use our new Chip and Coin Caddy modules. They allow you to keep track of dice, tokens, chips, and more!
One ModPack will include 2 Dividers, 1 Chip Caddy and 1 Coin Caddy and will be $7 to add to an existing pledge or get as a standalone item. Hitting this stretch goal will open up new pledge tiers.
Here's a video that shows the details of ModPack to get you excited about getting to our first stretch goal!
It's important to note that the prototypes in the images and videos for this campaign are 3D printed and do not have the fit and finish of the final products. The production version of the Triple Deckers and any other stretch goals we hit will be the same military-grade ABS as our current line of products you can check out on our website here.
The interior dimensions of the Triple Decker are:
- 3 inches high (76.2 mm)
- 3.75 inches long (95.25 mm)
- 2.75 inches wide (69.85 mm)
It will hold AT LEAST 100 double sleeved cards OR 4 standard playing card decks. Two poker chips will be included.
We've made some really great improvements in the design, too, including:
- Alignment guides on the outside to help in opening and closing
- Totally smooth interior so there's no chance of denting the side of the your cards
- The opening in the face can now be plugged with a standard sized poker chip that snaps in from the inside
Check out the video below for more details on the specs and design improvements we've made:
We'll have 5 base colors available and one Kickstarter bonus color that we'll vote on.
How will the Triple Decker work with existing Card Caddy products, and how have we addressed some of the fit issues from last campaign? Check out the video below to see the details:
The projected retail price will be at least $8 for the Triple Decker, so backing now saves you up to 40% off depending on your pledge level. There's a summary of the pledge levels below. We have a couple of limited rewards, not as early birds, but simply because we're not sure we have enough inventory on hand to fill them all. If we are able to produce more inventory through some of the stretch goals, we'll open up those limited reward levels that offer the best deals.
Once we hit our first stretch goal, we've got more to come - including a new storage box designed, dice tower, redesigned Double and Single Deckers, and more! Check out the video below to see some of the other stuff we have up our sleeve! You can see more on the Citadel Dice Tower stretch goal from our last campaign, too.
Help us reach our goal by sharing on social media, your favorite forums and referring your friends. There are buttons right below the "Back this project" button above to help you do it. And be sure to like, follow, and share our posts on your social media accounts, too!
We're aiming to deliver your rewards by June 2019. If that changes, we will update you with a new timeline and will keep you up to date with the progress all along the way. We're aware of the Chinese New Year in our production phase and have included extra time there. Here's how the current schedule breaks out:
We are partnering with a major game manufacturer for production of rewards for this campaign. They produce both full games and components for a range of companies, large and small, and we're confident that the final goods will be of great quality.
We think the Card Caddy is a great product, but don't take our word for it - check out all these awesome reviews!
Shipping is NOT included in your pledge and will be collected in our pledge manager system after the campaign is over. This helps us keep the goals in Kickstarter lower and reduces the amount of your pledge that is consumed by fees. Here's the estimated breakdown of shipping costs based on destination and order cost.
Shipping will be EU, Canada and Australia-friendly, meaning that we will pay the customs and ship your reward to you via an in-country shipper.
We'll be using Backerkit to manage the fulfillment of rewards after the campaign and payment of shipping. You'll enter your shipping info there, and select your colors. If you want to add-on to your pledge for more products, you can do it there, too.
Risks and challenges
We've had two successful Kickstarters and we've delivered on both. The first went fairly well, and the previous one was tough. There were a lot of manufacturer delays and set backs and I made the problems worse by not communicating enough with our backers. I learned a lot about the manufacturing process and will bring that experience and knowledge to this campaign. And more importantly, I learned that communication of the project status - good and bad - is one of the most important parts of running a good campaign. I promise to keep my backers informed all along the way.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
