John H Dillinger was a notorious bank robber in the early 30’s. He was arrested several times and, during one such arrest in Tucson Arizona in 1934, he had his Remington .41 Double Derringer pistol taken from him.

Later the same year, the FBI shot Dillinger dead outside the Biograph Theater in Chicago and it is said that his last words whilst lying on the pavement were 'Bye Bye Blackbird’ a dying message intended for his sweetheart moll, Evelyn ‘Billie’ Frechette, who was later given Dillinger's Double Derringer by the Sheriff who originally arrested him in Tucson.

Our aim, with the launch of this Limited Edition tee shirt is to build a collection of Americana inspired tees, hoodies and sweatshirts, all of which have a story weaved into the design rather than just featuring an image for the sake of it.

Risks and challenges

The challenges facing the project are to ensure quality is maintained during the printing process. However, we are using an established, reputable local supplier and we will be on hand to check quality and consistency at all stages of the process.
