- A (Mystery / Horror) game that aims to deliver on the feeling of solitude and nostalgia classic mystery / horror games had, while remaining original to a distinct new style.    

- An original Soundtrack which will help immerse the player even further into the haunting solitude that is 'MAD IN HEAVEN'.  

- The game features multiple endings which will change dynamically depending on what choices you make or what paths you take.

 The story revolves around 'Michael Hill'; a veteran of the United States military who recently came back from the front lines back to his home town 'Northwood Heights - USA'.

 Michael lives in a two-story house that has been separated into two parts, as he had to sell the top part in order to cover for his medical bills as well as pay the remainder of his mortgage.

Michael wakes up to the sound of a loud bang one day to find himself in what seems to be a day dream, or a hallucination his mind has created in order to cope with yet another panic attack.

The main objective of the game is to retain whatever sanity Michael has left, while uncovering more and more secrets as to what happened to the world he is surrounded by and what could it be. 

Hallucinations can be very severe so extreme measurements have to be taken, look at your surroundings very carefully and try to remain sane and CIVIL until the panic attack passes through.

Players are to experience the world from a first person perspective.  

Players will be able to examine and interact with the world around them through various ways, so think outside the box and keep your eyes open at all times.  

Item pick up is a vital part of the game, items will be stored inside the player's inventory, however inventory space is limited to 4 slots, so it is up to the player to decide which item takes priority.

Combat is a passive part of the game, however, the player will be provided with a firearm, but it is only to be used when it is absolutely necessary.

Survival is a key element, avoid confrontations and stay alive to uncover all the secrets this universe has to offer.  

The player will have a mental health meter hidden within the inventory menu, this meter will help the player determine how healthy he / she is. Green means the player has full resistance while red means that you are on the brink of insanity.

When depleted, mental health can be replenished through one of 2 ways;  

1. "time heals all wounds", just by giving it some time, your mental health will slowly start to rise until the meter reaches yellow.  

2. anti-Hellucinia pills can be consumed for a strong and instant effect which will immediately bring the meter back to full.

Darkness is a key element in the world of MAD IN HEAVEN. The game offers glow sticks as a means of guiding the player through the world. Glow sticks offer a dim light haze around the player for a limited period of time in order to keep the overall experience unhindered by bright lights revealing more than they should.

 

 

 

 

 

 Much of the game's sound effects have been taken from or are a modified iteration of the sounds found on http://www.freesfx.co.uk/

-The game is being developed on the Unreal Engine 4. It delivers crisp modern graphics along with amazing life-like shaders and materials, in order to deliver a quality presentation across the board.

While I would also like to port it over to the consoles, my main goal is to initially get it released for the PC. PCs are currently prioritized, as the game is originally intended for use with a mouse and keyboard. However, the final build of the game will offer full controller support. People who favor a controller over a mouse and keyboard will feel right at home.

Hello there!
Like everyone else in life, I face hardships and difficulties. My most prominent one is not that I'm alone on this project, but it is to deliver on the standard that I desire while being bound by everyday duties and finances while studying as a full time student.

If I truly had the means, I would take my time with this project in order to give it my utmost care and attention which is why I came to ask you for help. I have tried to Kickstart this project back in April but it ended in utter failure due to it's lack of content. Ever since then, I have decided to hold back the project from the public eye while pouring my absolute life into it. day in and day out, I work on this every single day, from sunrise to sunset. This time, I wish that it wins your approval. Your love, support, and criticism whether good or bad is held in the highest regards.
