Rubén Gerardo Alfaro Moreno is a special effects designer and photographer specializing in 'horror photography'. Ruben's photography has been published and exhibited around the world.
His 'horror photography' is known for its highly unique and cinematic look, that includes incredible use of special effects makeup, distinct colour palettes mixed with expert lighting and set design. Each of the photos Ruben creates has a singular look, as though it were a still taken straight from a horror film. The effect is an extraordinary mix that is both compelling and frightening, given the detail and realism in each fascinating image.
'MYRKKY 1' is the second book of his photography that Rubén has created. His previous publication, "RED", was successfully launched through Kickstarter in 2017 and subsequently very well received.
'Myrkky 1' is a collection of more than 170 outstanding images from Rubén's horror photography career that spans 14 years. The book includes single images, triptychs and bigger series like his unique approach to the seven deadly sins.
