Production is going well

Hi everyone,

As we mentioned, we are now in the middle of mass production. And we'd like to share the process with a quick update.

SMT quality assurance

We talked about SMT(surface mount technology) before, which is how we mount all the tiny parts onto Qmote's PCB(printed circuit board). And this GIF shows the process of how we ensure that each tiny part is well mounted on each PCB. The computer scans the PCBA, and compares its layout with the original design. This tool greatly improves the yield rate of SMT and will save the assembly line a lot of time.

Assembly line grows longer

If you can recall the photo of assembly line we shared before, you'll notice that the line has grown a lot longer, which means more stations are involved.

The reason is that many difficulties have come up ever since we started manufacture, so we keep fine-tuning the production line to take care of as many aspects as we can. So as to cover all these details, we need more stations in the assembly line than we were in the pilot run.

Considering the current output efficiency of the production line, we will soon be able to forward the first batch to the warehouse as long as we can get FCC certificate on time, and the next update will be posted by the time as well.

Thank you very much for your support. We can't wait to deliver the rewards to each backer!

      Hi,

Can you tell us if we are going to have the products before 2016 ?
I think It's better for you AND for us to know that.

      Thank you :)

So this is a little extensive, when is the estimated time of delivery for the backers. I understand you can have unforeseen problems but delay by 6 months would result in a Venture Capitalist to shut your doors.
