I wanted a board that had lots of LED's so I could use it with my Arduino and a great book by Mark Geddes called the Arduino Project Handbook.
This board has been designed to be used with any device that has GPIO like the Raspberry Pi, Hummingboard, PCduino and more. You can also use a MCP23017 chip or even a port extender board using such a chip to control the LEDS. Why not buy more than one and link them side by side? Make yourself a nice long line of LED bars.
The board would make a great two lesson project for schools, first lesson to build it and the second lesson to program it with more lessons for other programs.
Use a mini Arduino or similar and attach it to the back with a lithium battery for power and make it into a badge.
So why have I turned to Kickstarter again? Well like all my projects the biggest cost is the PCB board, to make one costs £17 without parts, but by Kickstarting it I can bring the costs down to £6 including parts and postage plus additional fees for pledgers outside the uk.
This board is inexpensive and will have like with all my boards a simple to follow assembly guide. I'm also hoping to have this board made and dispatched before Christmas so can also make a great present to sit down and solder on Boxing Day.
The Kit includes the PCB board, 10X 3mm red LED's, 10x 220 ohm resistors, 11 pin male header and 11 pin female header so you can use various jumper leads like Male to Male, Male to Female and Female to Female.
I've still got a tiny bit of work to do on it which includes routing the traces straighter as I want it to look much better and also decrease the size slightly and then it be perfect.
the colour will be my normal atomic green, I just used oshpark site to get the image of what my board will look like, as you will see it looks much better than the prototype i used in the video and pictures for this Kickstarter.
If we can get funded early I will add the following goal stretches in:
110% choice of red or green LED's- UNLOCKED
125% choice of red, amber and green LED's.
150% a pack of jumper leads so you can connect this to your device.
200% or more tbc
So there we go, this is my kickstarter project and I'm looking to you to help make this a success like all of my previous Kickstarters.

Since funding I have added a Raspberry Pi I/O Port expander running a MCP23017 chip to control your board, however this reward will not be ready till early January but I will try and get them shipped early.
Risks and challenges
The risks are as follows, not hitting funding, not getting the kits out in time for Christmas but with your support and prompt payment at the end of the Kickstarter will help ensure this is out in time, minimising the risks.
