From the information coming from the professional media outlets (as you know, Apple are quite secretive) we assume that the iPhone 7’s dimensions should be quite similar to the iPhone 6s’.
And even if not, we can compensate minor changes in the 7’s body, and we have enough time to implement the required adjustments to make it compatible with PICTAR.
As per the iPhone 7’s OS upgrades (if any) - we don't see any problem coming from that direction.Last updated:
Can I order more than a single PICTAR (or add any other item) in order to save some of the shipment cost?
Yes. Here's how it goes: Choose a reward and add the remaining cost (of the additional item) to the total pledge while checking out.
When the projects ends, we will send each and every backer a survey asking him to choose his rewards according to the credit he have. in any case, we will provide support to solve any problem.Last updated:
PICTAR’s semi-open body design doesn't allow to connect a case while attaching the iPhone.
The only exception is the iPhone 6 / 6s that can be fitted with a silicon case - similar to Apple’s original “Silicon Case”.
Please refer to iPhone’s website to learn more about this case:
Maximum depth of the iPhone 6 / 6s + a cover is 0.37 inch / 9.3 mm.Last updated:

Not too many people know that ,but the iPhone's camera (actually - its lens) doesn't have mechanical aperture control at all.
Light adjustments are made by changing ISO numbers (sensor sensitivity if you wish) and the shutter speed.
The iPhone does it automatically.
PICTAR allows you to control manually which on each parameter.Last updated:
Yes, you can shoot video with it.
The only limit is that you can't connect video accessories to the iPhone's jack, as it can't be reached when attached to PICTAR's bodyLast updated:

Dear EB backer,
Kickstarter's system is not flexible enough for such fine adjustments.
Good news are that we have a solution:
Please don't change a thing at the moment.
Once our campaign will reach it's end, Kickstarter's system will send you a "survey" in which you will be asked to select your desired reward - according to your balance. In other words - if you invested a $100 you'll be able to select any given item within that price range, or add more money to upgrade to more expensive item(s). - A list of all items will be available.
Once you'll receive the survey - please contact us by using the email we'll provide, and ask our customer's service team to change your original pledge for the bigger model. We'll take you step by step and guide you through till check-out.
As per the EB discount: We promise that you will be very pleased with the price! As one of our very first PICTAR backers we'll take a very good care of you.
Sorry for the long explanation.
Bottom line: please hold on and wait for your survey (-:Last updated:
If two grips are set side by side and both iPhones are set and ready to take photos, if a photo is taken with one using the PICTAR, the other iPhone will NOT take a photo if it is just sitting ready with no one touching the button?
Here's the situation: Right now our smart App team (they are... it's scary!) are refining the system. Its already great but we are seeking perfection.
Since we are using high-frequency tone system that generates voice, it will - if positioned close enough, operate a neighbor device. How close? They are working to make it as minimal as possible so it won't interfere any normal usage. We have enough time to debug the system so we are confident that it will be almost bullet-proof. What's nice about App's in general, is that it's easy for us (developers) to upgrade them constantly so PICTAR users can enjoy better performance simply by downloading it into their devices.Last updated:

To fully understand this answer please take a look at the animation showing the different iPhone models that are attached to PICTAR. You can find it on our project page.
The moving arm that holds the Phone safe in place is supported by a spring that is calibrated to apply enough tension to avoid the phone from dropping.
We are not sure (we are currently running some tests) that when attaching a smaller iPhone to the PICTAR PLUS model, the arm can apply enough force.
Until we'll have an approved test, we are not recommending to connect smaller iPhone models to the PICTAR PLUS model.
For iPhone models (4 to 6S) we offer the PICTAR modelLast updated:
The threaded part would be a brass insert which would be over molded in the plastic as part of the molding processLast updated:
When you connect a PICTAR to your iPhone, you need to activate the PictarApp so it will generate communication between the two devices.
When its not attached, you can use the iPhone's own camera app or any other camera app you fancy.Last updated:
