I'll be working with GameQuest in the UK for fulfillment and delivery of the games, which means there shouldn't be any unexpected customs fees when the game turns up at your door.
Scuttler's Island is an accessible, engaging and evolving experience, which changes as the map is built and play progresses.
Here's a brief overview of what's involved:
Each turn, players perform one of the following actions:
1. Draw a Tile and place it on the map, extending an existing path
The bread-and-butter of the game, careful tile-placement separates the victors from the losers in Scuttler's Island. Veer opponents off-course, sacrifice progress to lure enemies into dead-ends and lay traps for yourself to fool others of your intentions - these are just some of the many tactical options you'll face with each draw.
2. Place an Item Token from your collection onto a Trap Tile along your path
Drawn at random when crossing an Item Tile, these lost tools from adventurers old can be a blessing or curse, either leading you to abundant riches or leaving you stranded and helpless, steps away from the treasure.
The first player(s) to reach the X in the middle with an uninterrupted path wins!

Scuttler's Island is so much more than just pick-a-tile play-a-tile. Here are just a few of the key features that make playing Scuttler's Island so fun:
Easy to learn
Scuttler's Island is easy to learn yet surprisingly versatile. Each tile has a number of options to help you or someone else. But as players are wronged and start to build grudges, it's not just your own path that you've got to worry about...
Each player has the option of laying a tile to extend their path or an opponent's. This means that players stay engaged even during other players' turns as their path to the treasure (and the world around them) changes with every tile.
No run-away winners
In Scuttler's Island, starting well does not always mean finishing first. As players get closer and closer to the goal, rivals tend to notice and might start placing obstacles in the way. But do you sacrifice a move forward to block the leader, or hope someone else notices and blocks them for you?
Don't like competitive play? No problem! Pour your efforts into joining another player's path and cooperate to victory, whether they like it or not!
And here's a sped-up run through of a 6 player game, so you can see it in action...
Undead Viking - Review
"A light game with some really really fun aspects...
"It prompts people to talk to each other, form alliances... and is just a heck of a lot of fun!" - Lance Myxter, Undead Viking
Slickerdrips - First Impressions
“If you are looking for a family friendly game that is very easy to teach... everybody can play, a lot of people can play at once and is very fast and frantic and chaotic, then check out Scuttler’s Island” – Tom Heath, Slickerdrips
And a few words from our playtesters:
"A cutthroat game which can mutate into a semi co-operative game half way through. A highly unusual feature which I haven’t found anywhere else I can think of... I believe there is a place for Scuttler’s Island in many game collections." - Graham Dean, demoed at the UKGamesExpo (click here for the full review)
"This is one of my favourite games! It's very unusual to find a game that plays so well with so many players. I think it's brilliant. Even with just two players it's still great fun and different every time" - Virginia, Data Analyst
"My wife and I are not often to be found playing a game, much less enjoying one, but we were surprised how Scuttler's Island drew us in... and as soon as the game had finished, we wanted to play again! That is a first for us... and are looking forward to buying a copy to play with our children and grandchildren" - John, Computer Programmer
"I really like the strategy of Scuttler's Island. Being able to team up with (or gang up against) other players is really fun!" - Helen, Haematologist
"As someone that does not play many boardgames I was surprised by how easy to understand the game was [and] how competitive I became playing it!" - Alex, HR & Development Officer
"Scuttler's Island is great fun for all ages and abilities... I love how unexpected alliances form as you grapple with mountains and sail across shark-infested waters - who said there's no honour among thieves?" - Naomi, Executive Officer

The more money we raise together, the more luxurious a game we can create.
With more Stretch Goals planned, including game-changing expansions, component upgrades and more, let's see what we can unlock!
Last year saw my first venture into Kickstarter with Fishy Tactics. Thanks to the support of 565 people from across the world this little game became a reality.
Fishy Tactics was produced and shipped out to its supporters to schedule and arrived with backers just in time for Christmas 2016 as promised (only 4 months after the campaign ended).
I've been working on Scuttler's Island for well over a year now, and it has been tried and tested hundreds of times with people of all ages and skill levels. With a manufacturer and fulfilment agency lined-up and ready to go, we're all set to start full production of the game to get it into your hands.
But to make Scuttler's Island a reality, we're going to need your help!
Risks and challenges
As with all Kickstarters there are always going to be potential risks and challenges along the way. Since this is my second Kickstarter campaign, I am confident that I am well prepared for any challenges ahead.
I'm looking forward to working with Whatz Games (King of Tokyo, 7 Wonders Duel, Zombie 15'...) and Games Quest to ensure a high quality product and experience.
The game itself has received extensive play-testing, all artwork has been completed and prototypes have been produced.
And above all, I'll be transparent and open throughout the process, with frequent updates and reports of progress during the campaign and beyond.
