Charging Ahead to Launch...

It's been a busy time for us at Muse Games! As we're heading closer to Guns of Icarus Online's September 30 launch date, things are really heating up! We just got back from PAX prime where we met fans and held press previews, the first Guns of Icarus Online tournament is in the works, we're rolling out new features like custom games, spectator mode, a party system, friend lists, and an in-game store, and of course beta testing is ongoing as we continually tweak, balance, refine, and polish the game...

Read on to see what we've been up to!

Announcing THUNDERDUNES, the first-ever Guns of Icarus Online Tournament!

Discussion thread:

We've been hard at work on new features to support tournaments and competitive play, including the ability to create and browse custom matches (currently live), plus support for spectator mode, party formation, and an in-game friends list (coming soon!). This tournament will be the first of many. Stay tuned at our website for info on the official livestream with tournament coverage, behind-the-scenes chat with the devs, and giveaways! Whether you're gunning to compete or just want to sit back and follow the action, we hope you'll join us for this historic milestone!

We have a brand-new epic trailer for launch!

I'll let this one speak for itself. :)

And a shiny new monthly newsletter!

As a Kickstarter backer, you'll always be kept in the loop. (We luv you guys!) But if you want to get even more Guns of Icarus Online goodness delivered straight to your inbox, we've just debuted our new monthly newsletter, which we'll be sending out like gear-filled, oil-streaked, steam-spewing, whack-it-occasionally-to-keep-it-running clockwork at or nearish the beginning of every month to keep you up to date with all that's happening in the world of Guns of Icarus Online.

You can see the latest issue (containing the headlines from this update plus a few more items) here, and subscribe here!

Need a beta key?

We attempted to send keys to everyone who preordered the game, either through Kickstarter, our website, or Steam, but unfortunately we've gotten word that some of them didn't get through.

If you still haven't gotten a chance to try out the beta, you can visit the forums to request your key and we'll send you one (or a few for your friends) right away!

That's it for now!

Thanks for reading, and see you in the skies!

Hey Ryan, no we didn't. We set up in our hotel room actually, and invited some journalists over to preview the game. It went pretty well, as we can actually have some dedicated time to talk to people and play proper matches. The internet connection on the show floor wasn't very good. No worries, we'll meet next time!

That's rough. So did you guys have a booth at PAX? I'm pretty sure I didn't see you if you did, but I'm starting to find out that I missed a few other booths I would've wanted to check out otherwise. I know I missed your panel which I feel bad about. Wanted to meet Jason Rohrer as well as you all.

Yep... Game's DNS server is down as well... Face palming in frustration at the moment. And we'll be switching DNS provider you can be sure...

Is your site being pretty hammered right now? I can't get onto it. Looks awesome though, announced it on my blog as well ;)
