Alchemist Academy Competition on now-- (Ends Sept 20th)
If you haven’t seen it yet we have just launched a contest for one lucky backer to win the opportunity to create their very own spell card to be included in every copy of the game. This includes working with our artist to design the artwork on the card. More details can be found here. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/munji/alchemist-academy-0/posts/587497
Game Salute Guaranteed is our promise that Alchemist Academy will be produced with quality components and that you will enjoy the time you spend with the game. If you're not satisfied with Alchemist Academy, simply return it to our headquarters within 30 days of receiving it, and we'll refund your pledge. That's our no-questions-asked money-back guarantee.
Alchemist Academy is a card game where each person plays a young and gifted student at Eggelstein Hall (known better to the students as Alchemist Academy), a school for the magically gifted. Your grades have slipped. With only a few weeks to go you need to raise your grades and fast! There is only one solution... if you can’t pass… CAST!.
Why should you back Alchemist Academy?
Alchemist Academy is a fast, light-hearted card game for 2 to 6 players and is played in 30 to 60 minutes. Alchemist Academy is a hand management card game relying on 2 decks of cards, a Spell Deck and a Shop Deck.
The Spell Deck includes 23 different spells which consist of 64 cards in total. The Shop Deck contains 6 different component cards which are required in different variations when casting a spell. This deck consists of 120 cards in total.
Each class (round) players attempt to cast spells on each other and themselves to increase their grade (score).
Some spells are quick and easy to cast and only require 1 or 2 common components, however these only give the caster a small bonus and points, whilst other spells require a number of uncommon or rare items to be cast. Though it may take longer to obtain the components to cast these harder spells, they are far more powerful and can be worth the wait.
Alchemist Academy is easy to learn, has a lot of replay-ability, but most of all it's fun!
Alchemist Academy has been in development for a little over a year. We have already invested in the design, layout and artwork which is being produced by Fábio Fontes. Now we need your help to get the first print run off the ground. We hope that with your help we will be able to get this game made and in a big way. Every dollar this project can raise will go to increasing the print run and production quality of the game through stretch rewards, while keeping the price of each game as low as possible. With your help we will be able to share this game, not just with backers, but with everyone.

Download Alchemist Academy – Lite (demo)
Alchemist Academy - Lite is a Print and Play demo version of Alchemist Academy. This PnP contains all the rules you require to play a game of Alchemist Academy for 2 – 3 players instead of the normal 2 – 6 players which the full game allows. We have released this version so that you, our backers, can read the rules and get a feel for the game. You can download Alchemist Academy - Lite from this link here.
We've pulled together a cast of exciting crossover promotional characters from across the board! These characters will be included at all reward tiers where we ship you a physical product.
Any pledge tier that receives a physical copy of Alchemist Academy will receive one set of these promos per boxed copy of the game!
Level 99 Games - Promo Characters
We have teamed up with Level 99 Games to bring you not 1 but 2 special promo summoning cards. Alchemist Academy will include the 2 mascots, Juto and Borneo.
Juto is the mystical panda companion of Tatsumi, a Water Mystic from War of Indines. Juto utilizes attacks from 7 different characters in the War of Indines game for an unpredictable mix of power and positional control.
Borneo is the penguin familiar of Lesandra, the Battle Summoner from Devastation of Indines. Borneo mimics 7 characters from Devastation of Indeines, giving him a solid mix of powerful technical attacks.
Not only have we teamed up with Level 99 Games, but we have also teamed up with 3 of the big boys in the gaming podcast industry to bring you 3 limited edition and Kickstarter Exclusive Summoning Cards. That’s right The Secret Cabal Gaming Podcast, The D6 Generation and The Dice Tower have joined with us to bring you their own mascot summoning cards.
These cards will be included in all reward levels that includes a copy of the game (including the Full Print and Play), and will be included even if the stretch goal for the extra 6 summoning cards is not reached. Risks and challenges
As just over a third of the artwork has been completed, I expect there to be few complications in finishing the last illustrations by the game's illustrator Fábio Fontes. I do hope to raise more than the pledged goal so we can add many more cards to the game.
As for getting the game printed and shipped to each backer, I have done a lot of research and contacted a number of manufacturers to ensure Alchemist Academy has high quality components. I have found a company that has great customer service and quality products. I am sure that with their help the production run with be smooth. Once printed, I have complete confidence that Game Salute will distributed Alchemist Academey to each backer in a fast and timely manner. Game Salute is well versed in Kickstarter reward fulfillment and we are prepared to meet this challenge for Alchemist Academy.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
