Why was the Apple Macintosh called the Apple Macintosh? There's an often quoted story that says the Macintosh was somebody at the company's favourite kind of Apple. But is that really the whole story?
Daniel, one of our intrepid podcasting team, was innocently watching an episode of the well know television series "Get Smart" when two secret agents identified themselves to each other using code words. The words? "Apple" and "Macintosh".
Is it possible that the Apple Macintosh computer was named after that hilarious episode of "Get Smart", despite the fact that there's very little other evidence to support that theory? We think it's highly likely.
But there's only one man who can answer that question and many others but sadly he's no longer with us.
OR IS HE?
We at Multiple Nerdgasm have decided it's time to try and get the answers that the people really wanted from Steve Jobs. We will ask the questions that you want to ask, the questions that Walter Isaacson was too afraid to ask.
And we're going to film it so you can watch it on YouTube.
We're asking for $500 to complete the project. The money will be used as follows:
- $50 - Cool Ouiji Board
- $200 - Camera Equipment Rental
- $200 - Editing and production
- $50 - Artwork and sound
We are eternally grateful to Simon Cole for his artwork.
Risks and challenges
The biggest risk is that Steve didn't feel he had any unfinished business and has moved on to the afterlife. This would throw a spanner in the works but we're hoping in this event there might be some sort of intermediary spirit that can pass on Steve's answers.
Regardless of the risks we aim to provide a video that will entertain and amuse. We feel that's something we can achieve even if Steve does't show up.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
