Make Something Awful Every Day
In 2010 I launched a daily art project called make something awful every day (#msaed). Eight years later, it's still going... strong? I've developed several bodies of work along the way, one of which is a series of pixel art portraits.
Have you always wanted to be your best animated, pixelated self? Well, now you can! This includes head, shoulders, and basic animation in a perfect for social media package of a 540 x 540 pixel GIF, along with a 1600 x 1600 pixel still PNG (perfect for profile pictures!), and a video file you can use on Facebook and Instagram. Larger sizes and alternate formats are available upon request.
It's your face and you are granted complete ownership and control for use and reproduction of the image for your own personal and commercial use. All I ask for is the right to also use the image for my own portfolio and promotion purposes.
It also makes a great gift! All I need is one or two clear headshots photographs to work from and you can specify any specific clothes, background, and animation you'd like (within reason). At the end of the project, I'll send a survey to collect all this information.

Have you ever wished you could have GIFs IRL? Well, now through the magic of lenticular printing, you can! If you'd like a 5" x 5" square print of your portrait, add $20 to your pledge for orders within the US and $25 for Canadian and international orders and a custom lenticular print of your portrait will be mailed to you.
If you'd like to order multiple portraits, just multiple the total portraits by $25 and pledge at that level:
- One portrait: $25
- Two portraits: $50
- Three portraits: $75
- Four portraits: $100
- ...and so forth

Risks and challenges
The only risks and challenges are time and my personal demons, but they've been pretty quiet recently so I should be good. I've got a long track record of successfully created portraits, so everything will be completed eventually.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
