So I keep coming back here to check on things every few months, and I was hoping that some publisher would swoosh in take over the project to make sure it was delivered to backers. But the more I think of it, the more I think I wouldn't end up liking the finished project anymore anyway. Yes, I'm out the money, but I'm also free of the wasted shelf space...

I knew we could do it! Half a decade down already! See you at the bicentennial!

    3. Bill Grant III on June 30, 2017

And now 5 years since the project was supposed to be delivered. We did it guys!

    4. Erich Becker

Tomorrow marks 5 years since this game funded! Congrats all! I knew we could make the half decade mark!

Well seems I am back here again just seening if anything has change and no it has not :(

Four years, congrats! Didn't think we'd make it!

    7. Erich Becker
      on January 11, 2016

Yeah, four year mark approaching. I beginning to think this game won't get made as we begin to approach the half decade mark. Just trusting my gut on this one.

    8. Mike McGannon on January 10, 2016

2016 the year we still don't see a game

    9. Erich Becker
      on June 28, 2015

Hey all, I think this Kickstarter may have been a scam.... I'll check back in another three years. Last one out, don't forget to turn the lights off.

    10. Peter "Wizball" Wilson
      on June 22, 2015

This is one of only a couple of crowd funding projects that have never delivered. Seems a shame as looked like a nice game anyone actually made the game up and played it?

    11. Mike McGannon on May 23, 2015

I hope he was eaten by cannibals

    12. Mike McGannon on April 11, 2015

      What a turd stick......

    13. Mike McGannon on March 18, 2015

What a complete douche.....I hope he never has anything to do with the Industry ever

    14. Wayne Moulton on March 18, 2015

      Any word on this?

    15. Brian DiMarco on March 4, 2015

Oops, looks like it's my turn to turn on the lights and check on this abandoned house.
Here's a stat for all of the "Lucky 99": Silent Bob is now in his second longest period without an update, at 424 days. Way to go! He passed his initial high of 377 days set from July '12 to July '13. But still has about three months to go to break his all time record of 513 days without an update set from July 13 to Nov 14. We're all pulling for ya, big guy!

I'll leave this with a quote from Silent Bob himself from his first update here nearly three years ago: "...I want to leverage my experience with digital printing to make sure games don't just disappear after an initial Kickstarter campaign..."

    16. Erich Becker
      on January 24, 2015

Getting close to the three year anniversary... Who else is excited?!?!

    17. Bill Grant III on January 5, 2015

Just over a year since he last logged in. I just realized we missed an important detail. The project creator supports "Kicking it forward". It's possible he thought kicking it forward meant kicking the backers where it hurts.

    18. Mike McGannon on November 4, 2014

Maybe he was eaten by cannibals

    19. Brian DiMarco on September 25, 2014

Well, at this point it is what it is, Silent Bob hasn't logged in since the last update 1/4/14. He may come back for another apology but doesn't seem likely. The PnP files from Update #16 still have 4 active file links (not the mrwgames site, that's dead, but the file links like this still work).

    20. Peter "Wizball" Wilson
      on September 25, 2014

This one seems totally dead but I keep hoping that something will happend

    21. Mike McGannon on September 13, 2014

2 years 2 months no game

    22. Mike McGannon on August 19, 2014

Kickstarter really needs a way to handle fraud projects like this

    23. Mike McGannon on August 7, 2014

      Another project that went nowhere

Oh well as long as kickstarter and Amazon gets their cut of the money they don't care

    24. Mike McGannon on July 26, 2014

What a shocker he's disappeared again

    25. C.j. Hall on July 12, 2014

2 years...This is why we can't have nice things.

    26. Christopher "DarkWolfNine" Muzatko
      on May 29, 2014

Yup.. Still burned on this one. Pretty ridiculous. Interestingly.. my state (WA) has filed the first ever KS project lawsuit. (which I also happened to have backed.) Although I just read about the lawsuit today (from another KS that I backed and is pretty fraudulent feeling.. *cough Airborne in your Pocket cough* - Anyway. If you wanted to follow the lawsuit. It might be interesting as a precedent setter (hopefully a good precedent).

    27. Mike McGannon on April 25, 2014

What a joke! At least he hasn't shown his face at Board Game Geek since this all happened, I wonder if anyone has run into him at the conventions

Sad, Really Sad, someone should take his PNP files and just have the game crafter print this game

    28. Brian DiMarco on April 16, 2014

@Bill, LOL. But obviously this ain't bothering "Silent Bob"...clicking on his profile he hasn't logged into KS since his last update 1/4/14. And I assume he won't check in again until another "apology" in, what? 2015?

    29. Erich Becker
      on April 14, 2014

Two year anniversary today! We should celebrate by playing .......oh wait.....

    30. Bill Grant III on March 29, 2014

"99 backers, and the game ain't done.
If you're still waiting I feel bad for you son.
I got 99 backers, and the game ain't done.
      Sue me."

      With apologies to Jay-Z.

    31. Mike McGannon on March 28, 2014

HAHAHHAHHAA, this clown is never delivering anything

      Sad, very sad

    32. Mike McGannon on March 4, 2014

and once again, two months and not a word.....nice

    33. Mike McGannon on February 27, 2014

      what a shocker, no updates

    34. Mike McGannon on February 20, 2014

and next week will be close to two months ............

    35. Mike McGannon on February 8, 2014

Once Again a month with no updates :(

    36. Brian DiMarco on November 17, 2013

@Peter: Well I can see one explanation why he last logged on in August.
He (as did I) backed Colossal Cave and the Backer Email (address verification) went out just before he last logged into KS. So...consider this scenario: He logged onto KS to make sure he got his address info in for his reward for Colossal Cave...all the while ignoring his own backers. Isn't it ironic?

Am I just cynical? Well, if I'm incorrect, prove me wrong Silent Bob...err...Matthew.

    37. Peter "Wizball" Wilson
      on September 20, 2013

I woudl love to knwo what Matthew is doing coming on to here every so offten. He is not backing projects or answer questions here.

    38. Carrie Mah on August 21, 2013

      Thanks for the reminder, Brian!

    39. Brian DiMarco on August 15, 2013

...And someone something somewhere accessed the project creator's KS account again on 8/14. Maybe to celebrate the 16th month since funding...and the 13th month since any update.
As an FYI to backers, the PnP file links from "Update #16: It's Still June Somewhere, Right?" still work, so if you're looking to get something tangible out of this, I'd advise downloading them before they go away, too.

    40. Brian DiMarco on August 11, 2013

Greetings and salutations to his "computer" which had its monthly Matthew log-on again today.

    41. Jason Fordham on August 2, 2013

      So bizarre.

Matthew fulfilled my personal POD order last year with an amazing level of good communication, over-shipping copies in the tens and twenties at HIS expense (not) mine to ensure dents/damages were accommodated for, and we're talking 200+ quality POD game copies.

I still wonder if it's mental health issues? Medical?

Although using eBay and/or logging in here monthly is Shady to say the least.

    42. Bill Grant III on July 31, 2013

Good news for those in on Doom, Cryptozoic picked it up and will be sending games to all backers. Sounds like it might not be fulfilled entirely (I assume stretches rewards and such) but this is better than nothing. As for Matt it doesn't look like anything will save him. (I honestly don't understand why he doesn't just come clean about it. I would have much more respect for someone who would do that.)

    43. Erich Becker
      on July 31, 2013

Yeah I was in for 75 bucks on doom (what a fitting name!), a lot more than my $15 bucks on here. These scams seem to be destroying people's faith in crowd funding as an alternative. What a shame.

    44. Christopher "DarkWolfNine" Muzatko
      on July 25, 2013

Erich, me too. I was really looking forward to that one too. (And the $50 loss on this one, still bugs me. WTF.) Wish he would just man up and take responsibility.

    45. Erich Becker
      on July 24, 2013

Wow. I just got scammed from another kickstarter project too, the doom that came to Atlantic city. I sure can pick 'em.
