"A story with the golden combination of silent and lonely human, and emotionally rich artificial life... 'Synergia' is a game that answers such a niche demand... the art, music and writing create a royal impression, faithful to the ideals of Cyberpunk"

Synergia is a yuri thriller visual novel that takes place in a cyberpunk future, wrapped up in a beautifully unique, vibrant neon aesthetic. At the end of the world, sometimes love is the ultimate crime.
Cila, a veteran cop with a sour outlook and anger issues, expects nothing more from life besides the smell of ozone, blinding neon lights and the ever-present manhole steam. At least, until a shady friend replaces her broken-down housedroid as a favor.
Advanced, more efficient and remarkably perceptive, unit M.A.R.A. begins to penetrate Cila's toughened exterior and possibly even heal her new owner's old wounds - if Cila can decipher the recurring nightmare the process brings. Soon Cila and Mara forge a unique - if sometimes uneasy - bond. Unbeknownst to Cila, just as her life begins to find its new normal, the technological giant Velta Labs gets wind of Mara's existence and takes a mysterious interest in the android.
A war unlike any before it is brewing on the horizon, its players are silently being selected and one android's fate may spell the difference between peace, war, the blossoming of a new religion, or a technological singularity beyond comprehension.
We are proud to state that Synergia is one of the most content-rich original visual novels made.

Velta was one of the original creators of the Imperial Congress, and although damaged by its repression, it has succeeded to remain the leader in technological advances of the whole empire. Their long tradition within the state cabinet authorizes Velta to use its own military force and intervene in state affairs without the need to seek approval. Velta's story has always been surrounded by rumours about how its scientists often go beyond purely commercial purposes, and experiment regardless of the possible moral repercussions. In spite of this, Velta has managed to emerge unscathed from all cases of investigation in which it's been involved.
The rebel group beyond the Yellow Ocean is now the main enemy of the empire and one of the great causes of hatred of machines. It is composed of a group of skillful hackers who hide in the underground of the desert, and somehow have almost unlimited resources. These rebels are dedicated to sending android hordes against the walls of the empire, in addition to committing small terrorist attacks using hacked androids.
Hoplon began as a security company outsourced by the empire, in order to guard the walls of all districts adjacent to the Yellow Ocean. Due to their great efficiency, the corporation massively grew in terms of popularity and profits. Ultimately, it has become responsible for the general security of all districts in which it operates, gaining the same level of authority as the Imperial Police. In addition, Hoplon is directly responsible for the Empire's cybersecurity, due to their long experience dealing with androids inside and outside the walls.
The Confederacy of the New Colonies, mostly known as The Empire or The Humanist Empire, is the greatest current superpower on the planet. Although it began as a series of states that collaborated for the terraformation and restoration of fauna and flora, it has become a single empire united under the pressure of the Humanist church. Scientific values have been lost over time, and now The Empire is a power whose economy is based on territorial expansion and appropriation of resources. The still growing community of humanist adepts is leading to a social regression, as well as the prevalence of values based on hatred of machines and the superiority of imperial citizens over other colonies. In turn, these extremists are raising great problems internally, leading to a strong division in citizenship and the uprising of rebel forces that gradually increase the possibility of a civil war.
Cila, a native of the Empire and one of the Daughters of Velta, was created in an artificial womb. Naturally strong, intelligent, and with a gift for dealing with androids, she used to be in the Special Forces. Now a cybersecurity expert at Hoplon Security, recent events in her life have left her alone and resentful, which has affected her character and effectiveness in her work.
Yoko, born in The Empire's refugee district, is now a full-body cyborg except for her brain. She has always been involved in illegal activities under the cover of being an android dealer. She is known as the leader of the Red Moon gang, and is respected for being an unbeatable fighter.
Mara is brought together with Cila thanks to circumstance, due to the loss of Cila's old android, Elaine. Smart, warm, and yet unusually perceptive and cunning, Mara causes much intrigue and changes to Cila's life. An android of such personality is so strange within The Empire...
Kyle and Darla, employees of the giant Velta Laboratories, suddenly break into Cila's life. Skilled and experienced, they present the perfect foil to Cila's haphazard approach. Kyle is a combat expert who pulls the trigger without hesitation, whereas Darla is a psychologist specializing in modified human analysis.

A unique world calls for a unique sound. Music cannot be an afterthought in crafting a compelling, involving narrative and universe, and to this end only the best has been called upon for Synergia. Very few EVNs leave a lasting impact through their music, and to this end, one of the composers involved in one of those rare examples that did, Katawa Shoujo, has come onboard Synergia to provide the music. Andy Andi Han's original soundtrack will ensure that even when you can't be looking at Synergia - you'll be hearing it in your mind.

Risks and challenges
Synergia has been a labor of love for the past 3 years. The majority of risk comes not from completion of the game itself, which is near guaranteed, but rather by possible problems that may arise from manufacturing or fulfillment, as is typically common with crowdfunding projects. However, Top Hat Studios, the publishing partner of Synergia, has extensive experience in fulfilling kickstarter rewards, and supply chain management, so any risks from this should be minimized. In the past they have built a track record of fulfilling both digital and physical rewards for all campaigns they have associated with. Other risks may be more apparent as stretch goals are reached; as content is added, development will have to be extended to accommodate such. Ports, for example, will take longer and may not release simultaneously with the main game.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
