MR. ORANGE - A new drinking experience

MR. ORANGE is a colorful straw that makes drinking juice straight from a fruit as easy as pie! No more knives, squeezing tools, glasses and so on are needed. It works well with all fruits you can squeeze, such as oranges, grapefruits, tangerines, lemons and citrus fruits in general.
You can also use MR. ORANGE as an ordinary straw and help the planet to reduce waste.

The efficiency is tested also with other citrus fruits.
The straw is made by a lightweight anodized aluminum alloy and the lid is made by a durable black rubber.
The food-safe coating is a high-quality material providing the straw with a brilliant and scratch resistance surface: use MR. ORANGE as many times as you wish, it is designed to last. Moreover, it is dishwasher safe, it has a lightweight design and it is recyclable with the aluminium waste.
MR.ORANGE is available in different colors. At the beginning three colors were available. with your support we unlocked the blue and the black. Back us and spread the word to unlock the next one!
MR. ORANGE features an aluminium straw and a rubber lid.
- Straw: diameter: 8 mm, lenght: 200 mm, weight: 9 g, material: aluminium 6082 with 15um anodic oxidation.
- Lid: diameter: 32 mm, height: 10 mm, weight: 20 g.

MR. ORANGE is certified for food contact. All used materials fulfil the following regulations concerning general principles of safety and inertness of food contact materials:

PRODUCT CARE
Aluminium reacts with elements in atmosphere. If not used frequently, it is advisable to wash the product before using it in order to avoid possible bad flavours.
Particularly in marine climates, stains may form as a result of oxidation, but they do not compromise the quality of the product.
Take a look to MR. ORANGE's challenging timeline. Especially during the testing phase we drank so many oranges that we stayed healthy during the rest of the year. The orange at the bottom represents the status of our founding campaign: support us to drink it by backing us on Kickstarter!

Risks and challenges
We have large experience concerning project management in the automotive industry. Of course, developing a product outside our conventional working field is a challenge. Moreover, this is our first Kickstarter Campaign.
One main challenge will be the supply chain management, due to the big difference between a series production with lots per color and the fragmented shipment.
We planned a supply strategy in order to manage as quick as possible the orders of our future customers.

MR. ORANGE is designed to last several years. Moreover, the colored version has a galvanic surfacetreatment which ensure a very strong superficial hardness.

No! MR. ORANGE is more than an innovative tool to drink the fruit juice directly from the fruit. Youcan use the straw instead of the traditional disposable plastic straw. You will have always yourpersonal stylish straw and you will help the planet by reducing the plastic waste. Moreover, the metal straw gives an additional cooling effect, by reducing the temperature of your drink to ambient temperature

MR. ORANGE is successfully tested with oranges, lemons, tangerines, grapefruit and citrus fruits in general. Other types of fruits have not been tested. Tropical fruits are under investigation.
