Still images and film that is captured with the MOTUS app is saved to your camera roll so editing and sharing is a snap. You can also use video editing applications like Premiere, iMovie, or FinalCut.

MOTUS uses a completely self-contained Ultra Wideband Real-Time Locating technology and locates a TAG that you wear on a lanyard around your neck. This makes MOTUS 10x more accurate than GPS and much much faster. MOTUS can be used indoors and out and bad weather or mountains don't interfere with MOTUS locating abilities.

Initially we will only offer the TAG on a lanyard that goes around you neck however we do plan to offer a helmet to TAG mount and we are looking into a belt mounted TAG.

Setup is easy- you just pre-select a few settings in the app and then the MOTUS app will walk you through mounting the camera module. The process takes about a minute.

MOTUS can locate you up to 200 feet however we feel that the sweet spot for MOTUS is filming activities in the 5' to 100' range.

No. MOTUS knows exactly where you are to less than a foot of accuracy and uses this knowledge to adjust the focus. Especially when filming quick moving action sports, auto focus can lock onto other people or objects in the background. We've all had that one blurry moment ruin the entire clip.

You just pre-set how large you want to be in the image using the MOTUS smart app. Because MOTUS knows exactly where you are to a foot of accuracy MOTUS uses the distance to the camera lens to continuously and smoothly adjust the zoom factor on-the-fly keeping you the same size you pre-selected in the image. We call this feature Zoom-on-the-Fly. Say goodbye to jerky start and stop zoom.

The TAG you wear is loaded with smart sensors and feeds metrics like your g-force, speed, location and spin rate back to the camera module in real-time. Any of these metrics can be used to create smart triggers. For example, we can make up a very simple rule in the app to only record me when I'm moving that might look something like this:
*** if my speed > 4mph
*** then start recording
Or if we are working on learning a new spinning BMX trick for example we can make a more complicated rule that might look something like this:
*** if my g-force is > 1.2g
*** and my spin rate is >130 degrees/second
*** then shoot a burst of 10 still images in one second
These revolutionary smart record triggers means you will get higher quality and there will be less of it which means less time spent editing! You can also use the TAG buttons to manually start and stop recording.Last updated: -
MOTUS works best shooting activities that are conducted indoors or out less than 100' from the camera. We've shot street & park skateboarding/BMX, tennis, parkour, CrossFit, dance, and indoor rock climbing! Now what we really want now is for our customers to show us what else MOTUS can be used for, the sky's the limit!

MOTUS has a beefy battery that will last 3 hours and also doubles as a power bank to charge your phone or other devices on-the-go.

We don't recommend mounting anything larger than a GoPro Session on your MOTUS and only in conjunction with the smaller (non plus) version of the iPhone. Adding a GoPro can give you an additional wide angle perspective at the same time however please note that the MOTUS app will not connect to the GoPro to control any of the image capture features and you will have press record manually.
