Thanks for the update. In for the long haul and looking forward to progress as you can make it.
No worries here.
I've had plenty of "Life" happen over the last year and a half as well. I get it.
Can't wait to see the project when it hits!
Look at that doofus!
How many typos can one person get into a single post!!
"are forthcoming are progressing" ... "the inevitably effect" ... what's that even mean?!?
Learn to proofread your posts before clicking that "Post comment" button, why don't you -- even though you're quoting Kickstarter T&C's verbatim, huh??
Assuming ownership of mistakes made and all that is of course well and good ... however!
As long as bona-fide efforts to fulfill project rewards are forthcoming are progressing, project creators are under no obligation to offer refunds to anyone, wherever the project is in relation to initial estimates made. The estimate is just that -- and estimate -- not a committed delivered-by pre-order date.
But if project creators out of a sense of accountability or even guilt start doling out refunds from the project budget to all and sundry ... with the inevitably effect that delivery to those who choose to stick with the project get even further delayed, or even jeopardised altogether, if too many people choose to back out ... then I feel an obligation to raise my voice in objection.
Won't you rather be kinda late to really, really happy people PLUS a bunch of angry ones, that really late to anybody at all, happy or not?
@Steven: No worries man, I mainly meant that in a bit of jest. You're totally on point and I'm thankful you commented and kicked me into motion again!
I apologize if you feel I was calling you out. Such was not my intention! I'll be sticking around for the game. Heck, you're not even actually late yet!
I'm hanging in here. Do what you need to do.
I'm just looking forward to the next playtest set. Will actually commit to reading that one through this time.
As long as I don't have to wait forever keep my money and make me a book.
And by "find money elsewhere" I meant to say "shift personal funds around" - I want to note that I will not be re-launching this on KS or any other funding program to double-dip! I always hate when projects do that.
