UPDATE: Our Kickstarter grand total has now reached £2,018, meaning we're 100% funded!
A huge thank you to all our backers - and if you were planning to contribute please still do, theres nothing stopping us raising more (we were quite conservative with our target, so any additional budget over the £2000 will go straight on production costs!)
We're all set to shoot at the end of this month... we have a wonderful cast & crew, locations, story boards, and now we just need the remaining funds to be able to give the project the green light!
This is the central question of Mother's Boy. The film follows a young boy named Jo as he is forced to deal with the consequences of his mum's behaviour.
Our aim is to create a film that will move you, entertain you, and leave you questioning your judgements of others.
We are a small team made up of talented & dedicated people. We aim for consistently high production values to ensure we'll create a film that all involved can be proud of.
Our first film, ‘Watch Me Dance’, won a judges award at the Two Short Nights Festival 2012, and was praised by judges and audience alike for both it’s story and production value. See below for a clip...

Here it is, broken down plain and simple...
1. We're going to make an awesome film!
This is your chance to be part of a fantastic & worthwhile project, to share in the drama and excitement of the filmmaking process. We've got the script, we've got the skills, now all we require is the means to make it happen.
2. Support Indie Film in the South West.
We want to make films here in the South West. There is a growing local film scene which we're excited to be a part of. Help it along by supporting Mother's Boy.
3. Fantastic rewards.
If that wasn't enough, we have a range of perks as a reward for your support and a number of exclusive behind the scenes insights for anyone who contributes. Scroll back up and look to the right for details.
Risks and challenges
Film production is inherently a complicated business, even for the most professional productions (just look at stories of film's such as Apocalypse Now). It's a huge task to co-ordinate a film, and although we aren't filming in a jungle in Vietnam there are still many problems that could potentially arise. We're sure our backer's can appreciate, and understand this!
We will of course endeavour to plan (and backup plan!) accordingly, and we're certainly not new to this. As you can see from our trailer above, we have gone through the filmmaking process before and pride ourselves on delivering exactly what we promise. Between us we have many years of experience, in which time we have learned a lot. Because of this we've gone out of our way to gather a professional crew who are going to be able to make Mother's Boy a reality!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
