What is Torchbearer?
Torchbearer is a riff on early fantasy role-playing games like D&D. Players take the role of an adventurer seeking fortune from forlorn ruins, dungeons, and the wilds.
About Zine Quest
We are excited to be a part of Kickstarter's Zine Quest. To participate in Zine Quest, our zine must be RPG-related, sized 5.5 x 8.5", feature one-color printing, and bound via saddle-stitch. There will not be a digital PDF version, so get this now!
Risks and challenges
We have a solid "adventure hook" for our next session: we have worked with the printer before and have built in some buffer for printing delays.
However, failure is an important concept in Torchbearer, and failed tests can sometimes lead to Twists.
Fortunately, we have been saving up our Persona points so that we can Tap Nature if the need arises.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
