Have a question?
Tim, thanks for the offer. I will be seeing what I can do to get some buzz going. I'll be planning and working on my relaunch.
Sorry to hear this is being cancelled for now. I think this is a winner, just needs a better lead up and buzz generation before launch.
Hey Ben, have you thought about or checked into demoing this at Planet Comicon, in the Game room? Might get a nice boost of backers through the weekend. I'm going and would be willing to play it/demo it some if you can get me a working copy!
Thanks so much, Mitch!
As for shipping, since these are being fulfilled out of UK, any that come to me I have to pay shipping on anyway. Thankfully, the shipping deal I got is no more expensive than if they were being fulfilled from within the states. :)
All right... I'm in. Gotta support a local guy! Let me know if I can do a local pick up and save that $6 shipping though!!!
just backed at a $1 right now so that I can keep up with this fun looking game; and ensure I have my "allowance" properly accounted for when it is getting closer to go time. Enthusiastic about the look and feel.
Hi, i think a complete german edition would be nice, especially for the german gameboard-crowd and would be a great incentive to back the ks-project. For me i have no preference. I play english and german boardgames as well and there are many good examples of bi- or multilangual editions. The language-depended material in wow is also not very extensive, so it is probably only a question of production-costs to produce 2 complete different editions or a edition with 2 card-sets and rules in different languages or to put english and german text together on the cards (like in tournay) and rules in two different languages. Only the german translation for wow: "Löhne des Krieges" is not a good option. Best regards.
@Martin Rollmann, good question. That has yet to be decided and will depend on how many German copies are requested. Most likely it will be separate editions. When I send the surveys I will give the option to indicate whether you want it in German or English. That will help me determine the best course of action. As a backer, do you prefer a bilingual version, or a fully German edition with the box title being in German as well?
@Jim Krohn, awesome! WoW very consistently takes 1 hour for 2 players, and 1.5 - 2 hours for 3-4 players. I can't believe I forgot to put a simple "# players, estimated time" graphic into this campaign. I will do that as soon as I can.
"Wages of War will be available in English and German": Will it be a bilingual version or can you choose a version via pledgemanager?
I love LOTR2 also and just played it the other day. :-) I backed.
How long does a game of WoW take?
@Marc, yes the SGs are upgrades to the full print run of the game. I will put a note under the SG section to clarify that.
Thanks for the compliment!
@Adam, I'm glad to have you on board!
@Creator, I'm in! It's not stated, but I'm assuming the $39 level will include any SGs attained? Great looking game, thanks.
Excited to support this!
Hi Andrew! Yes, I really dislike those games that feel like solitaire games. My game has pretty much every choice affecting everyone else: Where I place an order determines what you get, and where I attack could cause your attack to go sour. :)
I would love to chat some time! Message me and we'll be in touch.
I've been a fan of the thought that goes into worker-placement games, but too many feel like games of "multiplayer solitaire" for my tastes. It looks like a dash of combat might be all that's needed to keep players focused on each other instead of their engines!
I'd love a chance to chat design! I'm hoping to launch my first game this summer, and getting to pick the brain of a successful designer would be a great opportunity.
Great idea Troy, maybe once this launches there can be a local play night where we all get together and play. Wouldn't mind my copy signed as well!
@Troy Newhoff, I'm sure we can make that happen!
Since I'm local, can I get my copy signed?
