You’re our SATI Secret Santas
You marvelous world-hoppers helped us bring delightful Cypher System Worlds into being, AND you bring these games to lots of other gamers too! Predation is currently one of the highest sellers on DriveThruRPG’s September Setting Sale, and the adventure The Cawdor Complex was released for general sale this month.
Like SATI chucking an osteoscan artifact through a time anomaly, you big-hearted backers brought these cool books and resources to gamers around the world. We’re so very grateful for all your enthusiasm and support! If you have friends who are tempted to dip their toes into Cypher System games, be sure to point them to our new, free Numenera quickstart rules and adventure – The Spire of the Hunting Sound. Someone totally new to the Cypher System can pick this PDF up and learn to play for free!
Unmasked is rooted in our world in a way that Gods of the Fall and Predation are not, and we are loving this different addition to the two existing worlds. We can’t wait for this book to be in your hands – look for it in November! In the meantime, won’t you drool along with us over this gorgeous art preview?
Though Unmasked is nearly off to the printer, this Kickstarter isn’t yet over! We’re wrapping up a couple more small projects for which we’ll have news soon – we’re really happy with how they’re turning out. The Cypher Guide is one that’s been in the works for a while, and we’re closing in on the first rollout of it—a website filled with character creation options, a random cypher generator, and more!
New Corebooks for Numenera
While we’re here, we have some exciting news for Numenera fans. In just a few days—Tuesday, September 19th—we’re launching a Kickstarter campaign for two new corebooks for Numenera. This is the game that brought MCG into existence, and has led to short films, novels, an incredible hit CRPG, and our ability to make other games—including No Thank You, Evil! and Invisible Sun.
The new corebooks—Numenera Discovery and Numenera Destiny—aren’t a new edition, but more like a natural next step in Numenera’s evolution. Numenera does a great job of helping players tell stories about exploring the ruins of the past, but we want to take gameplay to the next step: using what we find among the ruins to build a better future. You can read more about Numenera Discovery and Numenera Destiny here.
Our recent blog post gives a sneak peek of a really neat thing we’re doing with this Kickstarter: Numenera 2 backers will shape the fate of a Ninth World village called Ellomyr, and those details will be reflected in a sourcebook about Ellomyr, The Trilling Shard!
We hope you’ll help us spread the word and journey with us to discover your Numenera destiny.
