Creatures Threaten, But the Vislae Step Forward

The Teratology, the life’s work and passion of Taramoc Eslin, the well-known explorer and vislae, will now be a reality. All those casting Control the Black Cube (with or without a key) and higher levels will receive this hardcover, lavishly illustrated bestiary as a part of their rewards. All others will be able to select it as an Add-On for $45. Surreal creatures from throughout the worlds and half-worlds of the Actuality will now be at a well-equipped vislae’s fingertips.

And speaking of vislae…

The next stretch goal focuses on the five iconic characters that will be included in the Black Cube as pregenerated characters. If we reach the goal, we will produce a 45mm resin figurine depicting each of these unique characters. These characters include:

Lord Vryx: An Iconoclastic Stormheart of the Order of Goetica Who Serves as a Host, Lord Vryx is possessed by a bevy of spirits of all sorts who (usually) help him in his endeavors.

Omar Vanderal: An Established Stoneheart of the Order of Vance Who Walks with Strange Steps, this dapper fellow doesn’t let the surreality of the Actuality get to him, no matter how weird it gets.

Lauk, the Thief of Ideas: A Connected Flameheart Apostate Who Can’t Be Touched, Lauk is a well-known thief who steals anything that can’t be nailed down—ideas, concepts, spells, emotions, and so on. Even Lauk’s physical form is intangible much of the time.

Palome: A Beloved Stoneheart of the Order of Weavers Who Speaks to the Noösphere, Palome is the picture of both knowledge and grace, who wields magic like an artform.

The Red Shaper: An Itinerant Waveheart of the Order of Makers Who Evokes the Change, the woman known only as the Red Shaper is contradiction walking on eight legs—a maker who reveres change and destruction.

While the character tomes for each of these characters will be in everyone’s Black Cube, the figurines will be added to the rewards of all vislae casting Control the Black Cube (with or without a key) and higher if we reach $481,310. They will be available as an add-on for all backers.

About the miniatures, I do totally agree with Wouter! 35mm could be really great. It's the first time I see minis neither compatible with floor plans nor other models. They look really nice but without no other perspective than aesthetic.

+1 with Wouter! 35mm could be really great, but it's the first time I'd see minis neither compatible with Floor plans nor other models.

The miniatures look fantastic, but why 45mm? With that scale they won't fit in with any of the more regular scales if one should want to field miniatures to show for example one's position during play.

Wow. Those minis look amazing, but even more than that I'm in love with the character descriptions.
