The Invisible Sun

"Life is a pure flame, and we live by an invisible sun within us." Sir Thomas Browne, 1658

Our journey is not complete. Not by a long shot. Today we achieve the Invisible Sun itself. Source of magic, mystery, and wonder, the Invisible Sun exists outside the Path of Suns, and yet the path pivots upon the sun’s power and presence. The Invisible Sun is magical power. It is the Source.

Remember that the Path of Suns is not only a map of the Actuality, but a map of the soul as well. The inner world as well as the outer. Which means that all the suns—including the Invisible Sun—are also within us already, even if we are unaware. Our journey is one that is both spiritual and physical. In fact, when we reach this point, we begin to ask: is there even a difference?

The Invisible Sun is the end of the Path of Suns and the beginning of the Nightside Path, and its number is 9. Truthfully, though, the Invisible Sun is part of neither path. It is its own rogue fixture within the universe without a dual nature. It is the source of magical power and energy in all worlds. The currents of magic that flow, create, destroy, preserve, and change all originate from the Invisible Sun. As such, the warden of the Invisible Sun is only Visla. Or, to put it another way, Visla is warden of both of the gateways of this sun. Visla is an enigmatic figure, as mysterious as her realm.

Unlike all the others, however, the Invisible Sun has no attendant world. Its unseen light illuminates nothing. However, the Invisible Sun is the source of all magical energy, in the form of six (or, according to some, perhaps more) currents of power. These currents flow through the various suns and their gateways, but all originate with Visla and the Invisible Sun. Thus, the light of the Invisible Sun shines upon every world and everyone. Its light and its heat are magic.

Because of its role in providing magical power, vislae favor this sun—and, most of the time, Visla—above all others.

@Antifnity just so you hear it officially from us: if you want to change the sun you're pledged under, you have to actually cancel and re-pledge. Adjusting the amount of your pledge does NOT change what sun you're under.

@Jim Dovey (and @Antifnity) the FAQ at the end of the main page states:

"If you’re already a backer, simply adjust your reward to the key reward of the same value (if you cancel and then repledge, it will change which sun secret you get). "

So I guess adjust if you want the same sun and cancel if you want to change...

While the Invisible Sun is interesting, I'm still quite happy under the rays of the Blue Sun. In many ways it reminds me of the aspects of blue magic in Magic the Gathering, which was always my favorite "faction" to play in that game as well.

But welcome to the Invisible Sun just the same.

      =)

I'm enjoying the campaign, here and in the Google+ Invisible Sun group. Fellow Vislae keep your senses peeled

I called my Black Cube initially under the Silver Sun, but I have cancelled and then recalled it, under the Invisible Sun. I still have my set of Wicked Keys.

I wish to control the Cube, but feel that Playtesting rather than a Directed Campaign is more inline with my idea of controlling the Black Cube.

Cancel and re-pledge. Changing the pledge doesn't alter the value Kickstarter records as your start date.

Oh hey, I thought this wouldn't get a day. Do I need to cancel my pledge and pledge again to change my date, or does just "managing" my pledge change the date?
