Preproduction and indicator lights
We have some exciting progress to report! Ten pre-production Corian machines are finally being produced for our testing and verification processes. A few of them will be sent to California within the next month for us to make coffee with and sign off on production quality. We are really looking forward to taking photos, videos and sharing them with you all. The pre-production Concrete machine will follow a few weeks later for the same process; it really feels like we are getting somewhere!
We were not happy with the indicator light on the top of the machines, so we worked with the factory to develop a new light placement and flashing / pulsing protocol to indicate the status of the machine. Enclosed are some videos of the machine heating up (slow pulse) and the machine cooling down from milk-steaming temperature to shot-pulling temperature (faster flash) We think it looks pretty cool! When the machine is at operating temperature the light will stay on, illuminating the portafilter and pressure dial. We really like that the lighting is indirect, informative and practical and hope you like it too.
Our goal is to minimise the time between end of production and machines arriving at your door. To make this happen we have been in touch with a few companies and now have contracts in place with distribution centres in both Europe and the USA. These distribution partners will help us deliver Anza globally.
Next update will be in 4 to 6 weeks with feedback on the Corian pre-production machine and status report on the Concrete machine. Talk to you then!
