Don't get us wrong, leather is expensive but it's not as expensive as luxury brands make you believe. Big budget brands spend on marketing, advertising, warehousing and pay off half a dozen middlemen. On top of which they charge you huge margin. We've slashed all the middle men out and are producing goods for you and shipping directly to your doorstep. That means a big price cut and a fair share to the craftsmen working on the product.
We believe in fair business practice that's why we not only have craftsmen on payroll but they are part of the team, they get a share in each sale on top of that going forward we want to be able to give them free health benefits, an education for their children and a pension plan.
All this while keeping the price low and with your help we can!
Here is what Alan Hood from US, has to say about working with Zia (the founder)
Pakistan my home country is among one of the largest leather producing nations. My love for leather jackets led me to Sialkot a Pakistani city acclaimed globally for leather products. I got the chance to visit the tanneries and met the leather craftsmen. It was a great learning experience to be among the people who were actually creating the things i loved.
I moved to England for my studies and saw the price tags on jackets made from my country and I was surprised to see the difference between how much it actually costed to make one and the retail price. More importantly how less the craftsmen got out of it and I wanted to do something about it.
When I came back to Pakistan I went straight to Sialkot to my surprise, skilled craftsmen struggled to get work. The one’s that did was at low wages and the over all conditions weren’t all that great. I wanted to change that I had the tech experience and my passion for leather the collaboration came naturally.
So I teamed up with people in the industry, set-up stitching unit in Sialkot. We collaborated with designers and starting working on our first line of jackets and after 2 years of hard work we are presenting Mont5!
For the last two years we have been working on selecting the best materials, perfecting the fit, testing different leather types for their quality, grain, pattern and most importantly, feel on the body while wearing.
We have the perfect product, now we need to procure raw materials and hire more craftsmen create our first big batch that's where you come in. The best tanneries need you to buy leather in bulk & we want only the best leather, so we need funds to buy the leather and hire craftsmen with enough money with us to keep them employed.
We have named our jackets after famous peaks, valleys and glaciers that exist in the northern region of Pakistan.

There are different types of leather material used to manufacture leather jackets, each having it’s own advantages/disadvantages and properties.
We believe in a world where no animal is harmed or is put to suffering merely for fashion. Therefore, we have a very rigid set of policies that clearly define our line of work.
- We stand against all acts that lead to a jeopardy in animal extinction.
- Animal skins come with predefined requirements.
- No trading is being done in exotic leather.
- We accept leather material only from the meat production bred animals.
- NO animals are harmed only for the sole purpose of hide extraction.
