A New Town - An Ancient Evil - All You Can Eat Calamari
A New Town - An Ancient Evil - All You Can Eat Calamari
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Tue, September 10 2019 7:00 PM UTC +00:00.
In Tentacle Town, you're building a new town and competing to become mayor – all while the town is attacked by giant tentacles! Gamers of all ages will enjoy Tentacle Town. Games usually take 45-60 minutes, so it's easy to fit in a game.
Tentacle Town introduces new gamers (of any age!) to a variety of board game mechanics: action selection, resource management, engine building, and area control - all with plenty of strategy for veteran gamers! Different Task cards can be combined in over 1,000 ways to make sure each game brings a new strategic challenge (or leave 'em in the box for an even easier to teach intro game).
Tentacle Town re-imagines worker placement: instead of claiming an action on, you’re putting a new resident to work completing tasks or building a new building - but that new resident doesn’t belong to you! Many of the tasks depend on how many residents are in the district or how many buildings you’ve built. Plus, the more residents a district has, the more fame the district is worth at the end of the game.
There isn’t a break in the action until the game ends. Your choices aren’t blocked by new residents, so the turns can keep going quickly with a minimum of frustration. Plus, you can spend gold to complete additional tasks, adding a layer of strategy to gameplay.
Attacking tentacles may kill residents, destroy buildings, spawn more tentacles, or cause residents to flee. But fear not! You can defend your new home with harpoons, or hunt tentacle from the docks! When you kill a tentacle, you both reduce the threat to the town and score yourself some sweet fame and (sweeter) calamari!
The end of the game is also exciting: Whenever the Tentacles kill someone, the next player gets one more turn – so you never know exactly when the game is going to end.

Backers who do not complete their Pledge Manager by the deadline, which will be made clear via e-mail notification, may need to have their rewards shipped from our own US location. This may incur additional shipping costs to international backers that would need to be paid for at that time.
Due to the size of the rewards and the risk of bounce back, we cannot ship to PO Boxes either domestically or internationally.
Risks and challenges
The team behind Monster Fight Club has been designing and producing boardgames for years. We will be working with factories and manufacturers that we have worked with in the past and we are confident that we can deliver the game we envision. However, there are many variables when producing anything overseas such as production delays, shipping delays, and customs delays to name a few.
The estimated delivery date is May 2020, but this is only an estimate. Also, due to the logistics of international shipping, backers in different regions of the world may receive their rewards sooner than others.
We can refund you within 14 days of the campaign’s end, fees included. After that, we have a policy of no questions asked, though that’s minus Kickstarter and payment processing fees (which we can’t get back from them after 14 days). However, if we’ve begun packaging your pledge for shipment (usually 4 to 6 weeks before the actual shipping date), no refunds are possible. If a component cannot be delivered AT ALL, we refund that completely, including fees.
All refunds after the 14 days close of the campaign may be reversed via Stripe to your credit card at our discretion. Refunds within 14 days are reversed via Stripe to your credit card.
This project is being funded in USD and any refunds processed will be in USD for the exact amount received in USD, excluding any applicable fees depending on the time of the refund being processed.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By pledging to this project, you acknowledge that the final look, materials and content of the rewards (and the project) are subject to change and may differ substantially from what is presented while the Kickstarter project was active.
If you do not log in and confirm your pledge within 8 weeks of our notification via e-mail to confirm your pledge, you agree that we have fulfilled our obligations to you in full for payment or donations received. However, we may, at our discretion, refund or ship your pledge if you contact us and confirm your pledge after the 8 week window has elapsed. Unconfirmed pledges make it difficult for us to plan production and logistics, and may lead to project delays which could impact your fellow backers. For this project we do not intend to allow this to happen, which may mean if you confirm your pledge too late, exclusive items may not be produced in sufficient quantity for your pledge.
If you confirm your pledge within 8 weeks of our notification via email, you agree that our responsibility to you is to ship your order as entered into our pledge manager system, that title and risk passes to you upon delivery to a common carrier for such shipment, and you are responsible for import duties or any other duties that may be payable to the relevant tax authorities, providing correct address information and ensuring this address is deliverable by normal methods. Again, we regret we are unable to ship to PO Boxes.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not pledge on this project.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
