I was reading an article in today's WSJ (Feb 17, 2015) and they mentioned Bandar food. Congrats on getting the exposure within the WSJ!!!

Hey guys, any updates on the company? I really enjoyed the sauce!

Hi Everyone - to Erik's question below, we have been working on recipes. If you have any fun and creative recipes you would like to send us, please feel free to send and we can try and upload it on our site!

If you are out of your sauces, we are currently selling the Spicy Mango online through our site at as we just received a second batch of Mango. We are making another production run for the Mint-Cilantro soon so will keep you updated.

      Thanks for the support!

Just curious when the $100 rewards are going to be fulfilled? (Specifically the recipes on the website..)

    5. Scott J. Wilson on January 23, 2013

The only bad thing I can say is that my Spicy Mango is about to run out and it's sold out on your website. Love both sauces. You've got a customer for life.

Hey guys just wanted to let you know I got my replacement Mint Cilantro sauce and it tastes good. The first one I got was definitely spoiled. Thanks for sending me another one. Appreciate it.

The mint cilantro tastes a bit spoiled. The mango is good, but it needs to be sweeter! If you wanna create a sauce that people put on everything (like Sriracha), and not just for Indian food, it's gotta have that sweet and spicy kick. Maybe my mango sauce is about to go bad too, but I just think its a bit too def has potential though.

Both Bandar sauces are delicious! So delicious that as soon as I test-tasted them, I went to right to the kitchen cabinet that houses the brown & basmati rice and the cooking commenced! You've turned me into a chef extraordinaire! My friends won't believe that I used my stove for something other than boiling water for tea!
Looking forward to lunch and dinner for tomorrow!

Got mine yesterday! I'm a little disappointed with the mint cilantro, but I could see it working well with certain dishes. However, I love the Spicy Mango. I'm going to be putting it on everything. Thanks for your work, guys!

    10. Lisa G. on November 26, 2012

I tried the Mint Cilantro and I really like it!

Michael, I think we both received Mint Cilantro that went bad. I didn't want to be rude about the taste, but that is what I imagined happened since the Spicy Mango tastes so good, I would have thought the Mint Cilantro would have tasted just as good. But instead it has an unsual foul sort of taste to it.

    12. David Rosen on November 26, 2012

Oustanding sauces!! I am SOOO glad that you didnt "dumb down" the "kick" or flavor for a western palate. Both are right on the money!! Just excellent excellent stuff!! Please let me know when they both hit retail (and where) so I know when I can get more.

    13. Michael Dally & Hema Simondes on November 26, 2012

Spicy Mango is off the chains, some straight monkey funk! I have been putting this on nearly everything I eat, a little bit goes a long way. My stomach didn't seem to mind the ingredients either, this is saying a lot with my sensitive GI tract. Keep up the good work and let me know when it hits the selves at Whole Foods so I can swoop some more!

Got my package before Thanksgiving and have been enjoying the sauces at many meals. I really like the Mint Cilantro on meats and vegetables. It was really good for spicing up the Thanksgiving turkey and the green bean casserole. I also enjoyed it on a grilled chicken breast sandwich. The Spicy Mango works with just about everything and just last night I grilled some salmon with it. Quite delicious!

      Keep up the great work!!

    15. Michael Vergalla on November 26, 2012

Just got my Monkey Sauce!!! Spicy Mango is great...

Mint Cilantro.... well... Im guessing mine went bad, or something happened... seems like a great mix, but taste is very strange. Hopefully just a hickup..

      Spicy Mango is Awesome!!!

Received the hot sauces. Spicy mango was really nice and tasty, and really really spicy even for this Indian. The Mint cilantro wasn't bad by any means but wasn't great either. I do think you have a real winner though with the Spicy Mango.

    17. Peter Cooper on November 26, 2012

Mint cilantro is pretty similar to other Indian hotsauces I have tasted. Not the most Unique. I will however, be purchasing large quantities of the mango from you in the future. Great stuff. Also well done on delivering when you said you would. I will be recommending your mango sauce(you guys should shoot me some bottles to help distribute to my local foodie stores in DC :)) to friends, families, and colleagues.

    18. Shion Guha on November 24, 2012

Received both sauces yesterday. They are very, very delicious and reminds me of home. Thank you so much. I will buy again when you guys are selling online.

Wow! The mango chili sauce is hot but tasty. My hubby really likes it. Great job!

    20. Walter Johnson on November 21, 2012

Got my bottle of Spicy Mango and Mint Cilantro today. Pretty hot stuff! Thanks.

    21. Ian Arnold on November 20, 2012

Got my bottle of the Spicy Mango today. Was hotter than I expected which I am super happy with, but was doubly amazed by the amount of flavor that so many things lose when they get so hot. Great work!

On a side note... I'm currently in a contest to win free pizza for a year. If anyone could go to like the page and vote for Ian Arnold it would be greatly appreciated.

    22. Amanda W on November 19, 2012

      Hi guys,
I just checked my mails and I did not get the survey mail. What can I do?

    30. Bandar Foods Creator on October 12, 2012

Yes - we will post an update soon. All the surveys were sent out last Friday (if you have not yet filled it out please do so soon as we are placing our order for T-shirts and socks in the next few days). The product is scheduled to ship next Tuesday/Wednesday, so as soon as it ships we will post an update. Fingers crossed! This has been an enduring journey! Thanks again for the patience and the great feedback we have gotten in the surveys.

Congrats on the success! Any update on ship dates or otherwise?

Considering the Sept delivery date, will we get surveys soon?

    36. S.D. on August 16, 2012

I don't think they've sent out the backer's survey yet. At least I've not received one yet. Perhaps in September?

    37. Sam Spoerle on August 9, 2012

Did anyone else get an email regarding flavor choice? I just hadn't heard anything about it for awhile now. Didnt want to miss out on the sweet sauce!

You guys could use the 5X extra loot to improve that T-shirt from the dull grey (more colors, better fabric!) - it could be that some people sponsored you here just to get the T-shirt that pays homage to our swingingly cool ancestors (moreover sauce is probably perfect already... I am sure ... and does not need any improvements!). Just a humble suggestion.... ;-)

    39. Peter Cooper on August 2, 2012

They say delivery by September but they have thousands of bottles to do by hand. No easy feat. Hopefully we get them by September....

    40. S.D. on August 2, 2012

I'm ready for some curry sauce now ;-)

My dinner tonight consisted of corn dogs dipped in leftover tikka masala sauce (it's amazing). The only way I know how to get it is to order EXPENSIVE take out. If this gets the world a step closer to solving this particular problem, I'm all for it.

      • Legal Services
      • Indian and US Customs
      • FDA requirements and lab tests

How quickly do you expect to be shipping this product?
