We’re heads down, cranking on the manufacturing of your new gear. Of course, it wouldn’t be fun if it was easy.
So instead...our lens partner is stressed about how many anamorphic lenses we need to make, our metal partner is saying the rotating interface is really hard to produce, and the firmware for the battery photo case is the missing piece for an important production build next week. But this is the type of thing we go through pretty much every time we make new products. So as always, we’re hammering through it and continuing to move forward. Gotta stay positive!
If companies actually shared all the oh $%^# moments a new product goes through, no one would buy anything. We’ll be sure to only share the gnarliest stories for you so by the time it arrives you can share in the joy of the product actually arriving.

A Project We Love
GNARBOX 2.0 SSD – Rugged backup device for your camera
We’ve been a fan of Gnarbox 1.0 and their 2.0 version is even better. It’s a more rugged, backup device for content creators who prefer to travel without a laptop. It’s different from other portable hard drives because of the apps they have made to make your workflow easier. They offer a single step backup, dedicated workspaces, and access to professional editing software. We’ve found that their gear saves you time and increases portability.
Now posted in all four updates, please don’t be the backer who yells at us after because your country charges import fees. We don’t like them either.
We really, wish that Kickstarter made this easier. We aren’t a fan of international taxes but we also aren’t one to get around the rules. When the campaign is over, we’ll send out your Kickstarter surveys where you will enter your shipping details. Depending on what you have in your cart and where it’s shipping, we will calculate the import fees required for that country and charge you for them.
A long story short but we tried a lot of combinations to charge this upfront with the pledge but it was just impossible. So we just want to give you a heads up now, if you hate import fees like us and want to bail on the project we don’t blame you. We’d rather you get mad at us now then when we’re ready to ship.
