Update #8 - Party, Blog, Stretch Goals
The scene: Aeronaut Brewery, a brewery taproom in a former envelope factory in Somerville. On one end, a Young Entrepreneurs meet-up. On the other, a cluster of video game nerds. A bluegrass band occupying the no man's land in between. The tension between the two distinct groups of nerds was palpable, but a rumble never materialized.
Thank you everyone for coming out. We had a great time meeting you all! We hope everyone had as much fun as we did. Thanks also to all our friends who came out, the folks behind The Black Glove, Elegy for a Dead World, and OBEY.
In other news, we’re starting a dev blog today. We plan on posting interesting stuff related to the game. For the first post, Damian & Bryn put together a video about the process of generating the river, how it’s laid out in code, and the iterations that it goes through to create the river you travel. You can check it out here.
Last night, we also hit our second stretch goal! We are now adding raft customization to the game. You’ll be able to build up your raft over time with cool parts, some that are cosmetic, others that help gameplay to improve things like its handling or durability.
We’ve got just under two weeks left, and some cool stretch goals out in front of us. So please, keep sharing the project. It’s a huge help.
