I'm starting week three of final animation, and I'm roughly 67% done with the animation. So, all is going according to schedule! Working six - seven days a week has allowed me to hit my quota almost every day, or make up what I missed the next day.
The scary part will be the next chunk:
1) setting up multiple shots per scene for rendering - harmonizing textures and final lighting.
2) rendering final animation
I'm still not totally sure of my workflow / timeline for this. I'm thinking I may dedicate a machine to rendering while the other is used for compositing during the day and rendering when I sleep. Maybe I can get all the rendering done in three - four weeks this way?
In an ideal world, someone else could work on the finished scenes, and be setting up and render-wrangling while I animate the next scenes. This project is just me though, so finding the most efficient use of my time is paramount.
I just need to make sure I can be simultaneously rendering, re-rendering fixes of and messed up renders, and compositing successful renders without losing track of whats going on and while still getting at least a little sleep.
Anyway, more soon!
