Forbidden Places Tile Set UNLOCKED. Fabric Map Video & the Mysterious East!

Another great night as we unlock the printed tile sets Forbidden Places & Pits of Horror in the Conan RPG Kickstarter. This set focuses on forbidden temples, monster-haunted spaces, and other dangerous exotic locales and is a £20 Add On (Approx €26 / $29) or available as part of the £30 PDF bundle. Everyone with the PDF Subscription gets them free, and the Hoard', Secrets' and Treasure' Pledges get them in print as well. Check examples of the tile designs below!

We've unveiled the next furthest goal as well - Conan of the Mysterious East at £330k - that's a Val Mayerik piece as a temporary cover! Next we're setting sail with Conan the Pirate at £230k!

We had a sample of the deluxe satin fabric map arrive. We're still tweaking the fonts, and certain elements on the map until Jeff is 100% happy but this video will give you an idea of what you can expect

The Deluxe Satin Map is a £50 Add On - the final version will have a thicker backing which helps it grip the tabletop. Remember it's included in Conqueror's Collection as well as the Secrets of Mount Yishma and Treasure of Tranicos pledges.

Have a look at some of the types of tiles you can expect in in the Forbidden Places & Pits of Horror set. We will be including both a hex and squared overlay in the PDF versions. The print versions will have movement areas marked which are similar to Monolith's Conan boardgame tiles. We'll also be touching them up with dirt and other effects.

The medium (or half size) tiles act as Ante Rooms or means to expand or connect other adventure locations. Imagine the many encounters you can use these for!

Finally we are very close to unlocking the next Blessing of Mitra social goal as we're almost at 7000 LIKES on the Modiphius Facebook page - so if you haven't done so yet, drop in and LIKE the page and we can unlock another set of famous Conan pregens!

Enjoy!

Hoard does get them in PDF as it includes the PDF Subscription

@Kajan - sorry it's just Secrets and Treasure that gets them in print

The Hoard get the Tiles in Print? Is this really correct?

@Matt - don't worry remember you get the same map as a printed poster as part of the Blessings of Mitra

@Douglas - no worries we've actually just hit the goal! What we're currently looking at is that each movement area is a zone and this keeps things simple. We're still playing with the scale and the size of the movement areas so it feels right. Each tile set will come with a short pdf with suggestions for what the zones are and their notable features such as 'rickety wooded scaffolding', 'windswept stone staircase' etc

      Great stuff.

Unfortunately, I can't "Like" the Modiphius Facebook page, as I don't (and won't) use Facebook.

Will the movement areas on the tiles be usable as zones in the RPG? As nice as it is to have the tiles be usable with Monolith's game, I'd love to see some hints about how to divide areas up into zones for action scenes in the RPG.

That satin map is bad-ass, but at $72 bucks I'll have to do like Conan and steal one.

      Those tilesets are beautiful.
