Revised Stretch Goal, Stygian Doom Pit, PDF Tile Sets & Social Goals!

Posted by Chris Birch, Modiphius (Creator)

Hi there, it's nearly a week (tomorrow) since we started the Conan Kickstarter and feels like a month so much has been happening! We've got lots of stuff to show off today and news of changes to the Stretch Goals...

First up the Stygian Doom Pit - perfect for cunning GM's to hoard their Doom Tokens or for player's to roll dice as they use their Steely glare across the tabletop!

The Stygian Doom Pit measures 16.5cm x 16.5cm x 5cm deep. It's made of leather and clips together with studs at each of the four corners allowing it to be flat packed for transport in your saddlebags. Decorated with hieretic script and the stygian snake symbol this is a £20 Add On (Approx €26 / $29) or comes as part of the Conqueror's Collection or the Secrets of Yishma and Treasure of Tranicos Pledges.

Geormorphic Tile Sets in PDF. A few people have been asking for PDF's of the tile sets. We've been hard at work on these and have committed to creating them digitally so now you can get all 64 large tiles and 64 medium tiles in PDF as a £30 Add On (Approx €39 / $44). Remember the tiles comes in PDF as part of the PDF Subscription. These will be ready in June.

The tiles are being designed without a grid but with movement spaces like the Conan boardgame by Monolith providing great opportunities to use their awesome minis! Here's another example of a large tile (without any marked spaces yet) from the Forbidden Places set - part of a secret temple - we're just waiting for your heroes to scale over the side!

Someone asked for extra Fortune Tokens so we've made a separate set of these available (and yes this means the Secrets of Mount Yishma pledge gets this too - it's already included in the Treasure of Tranicos pledge)

We realised the next stretch goal was set up for a larger version of the campaign book with extra page count that would be unlocked later. So we've reduced it down to £195,000 and this of course brings down the other goals.

Finally...phew! As you may have seen Kickstarter doesn't seem to be showing the number of Facebook shares so we have revised the Social Media Challenges to include the Likes of the Kickstarter page, and we're using Sharetally to track the Shares. As a result we've already broken two more Blessings of Mitra - digital wallpapers of Conan art, and form fillable Character Sheets. Now help us unlock Pre-gens of the famous characters from Conan's stories. You can help unlock more by re-tweeting this Tweet: or Liking our Facebook page or Sharing the Project page

That's it for today. Tonight we'll have news of some extra Pledges that have been requested!

@Warren: Yes! That would be great. His King stats would be awesome.

Is there stat degeneration for age in this game?

I would like to see a pre-gen of Conan at various stages of his career. It would be interesting to see his sheet from when he first started out as well as one when his career is pretty much finished or at its peak.

The pregen characters level 2 and 3 appear to be the same. Not sure if that is right or wrong. ☺

@Chris: Yep, that's what I thought. The text of the update and the graphics say it's 128, though (64 large and 64 medium). ;)

@Robert yes we're going to do this too

@Kickbacker - we've got a sample here and it works nicely but depends how aggressively you roll your dice!

@Eric - it's actually 16 tiles per set x 4 sets so 64 tiles total in the PDF bundle. We aim to unlock some more additions to these sets later on

      Great news. :)
It would be great if you could update the Pledge-Table with the new changings.

Any chance the PDF's of the tiles could have the markings for the movement spaces on a separate layer that can be turned off/on? (I've seen this option on other PDFs) That would give folks more flexibility in using the PDFs (including importing into virtual desktops or adapting for use in games that use a grid).

    9. Kickbacker

The doom pit may be a bit too small for making comfortable dice rolls. However, it would be good for holding dice and tokens at the game table.
It would also make for a snazzy key tray.

@Chris: Shouldn't the tile set PDF add-on be 32 tiles of each (ie not 64), considering that sets 1 & 2 and 2x8 tiles each?
