Conan the Barbarian Supplement UNLOCKED!

Posted by Chris Birch, Modiphius (Creator)

Enter the Barbarian! Another fantastic sourcebook is unlocked as an Add On in the KickstarterThe Conan the Barbarian 112 page full colour hardcover sourcebook is now available as a £15 Add On (just increase your pledge amount to add it). The cover is being painted by the legendary Phroilan Gardner!

From the wintry lands of Asgard and Vanaheim, to the rocky peaks of Hyperborea, and finally to the crags and hills of fog-bound Cimmeria, this sourcebook describes life for the barbarians of the Hyborian Age. Barbarian-themed lifepaths and character options are provided, and the terrifying gods of the north are described in all their grim glory. Heroes can drink mead along with Wulfhere or Horsa, and hear wild-eyed Old Gorm tell tales of the time he saw the frost giant’s daughter.

Remember that everyone with 'Plus Every Unlocked Book in PDF' (the PDF Master and above) now gets Conan the Barbarian in PDF as part of their pledge, whilst the Hoard of Yezdigerd and Secrets of Mount Yishma both add this in hardback to their collection! We have also adjusted the text of the Stretch Goals to make who gets them a little clearer.

We're now heading to unlock Conan the Mercenary and then the Book of Skelos which unlocks more dangerous magic. We'll then be unlocking the Jewelled Thrones of the Earth - an anthology of fantastic adventures to pick from or combine as a campaign. Forbidden Places & Pits of Horror is our next set of tiles before we reach Conan the Pirate!

Gah I want all the books so far.

    2. Chris Challacombe

I want pirates!! and that cover.
Annoyingly for me all the books i really want are the later ones, and not the first 4!
Whereas with Infinity it was a mix. Just luck of the draw

Dude, right? In all my years of running Conan games, I've never set a campaign in the North. Now it sounds like a fantastic idea!
I'm going to have to start up more groups, to get in all the campaigns I want to run with this game.

    4. Paul Ethridge on

This book alone made me change my pledge to include all PDFs going forward. Can't wait to get some action in the theme of the Frost Giant's Daughter!

Really looking forward to these sourcebooks! I'm hoping all of them get funded, as they are much more useful, imo, than campaigns and adventures.
      Nice interview Jason!

As a note, I meant "Argos" instead of "Aquilonia". It was the third take on the video interview and I was pretty tired by then.

Great news that this sourcebook is funded (and will stay true to Robert E. Howard's writing).
The "barbarian" remains my most memorable representation of Conan.
