Being chased by a monster but you can’t move? Spider crawling up your nose? Studies show that 50% of children aged 3 to 6 years old experience bad dreams that disrupt their sleep. And, now you—yes, you—can help us help these children.
This children's picture book solves a real life, common dilemma—what to do when a child has a bad dream. Disguised as a bedtime story with a mysterious twist, this book will engage readers with its whimsical illustrations and absorbing plot.
Parents have to deal with the difficult issue of their children’s nightmares. When nightmares wake children, they seek comfort and wake their parents. This book will help child and parent alike with an imaginative, helpful solution. An esteemed child psychologist has approved the premise of this solution, based on magical thinking that works for children of this age.
Producing this creative “collectable” in the form of a self-published book are: Modern Dog Design Co. (design and illustration) and Robin Landa (author). The Dream Box is a children’s picture book, however, as Robynne Raye of Modern Dog says, “It's a children's story, but we are hoping that the art will be so fun, that adults will view it as an art book, too.”
*Part of the royalties from book sales will be donated to Kean University Design Scholarships, Art Directors Club (ADCNJ) Scholarships and the Fresh Air Fund.
WHERE WE ARE
We are actively creating this picture book. In order to design, illustrate, and produce it, we need time, which means we have to put client work aside, and we need to pay staff, which leads to costs for this team.
We're excited to bring this project to light. If you can donate or help in any way, we greatly appreciate it!
