Still haven't addressed any of the points from my post, so here they are again.

Please respond to the following allegations with more then calling them lies:

      1. No one else except Christopher Price works for MMV/Console Inc. Since day one of this project, he has refused to answer the simple question of the number of employees in his company. However, he claimed earlier in the Kickstarter comments section to have "engineers", which is plural meaning at least two other employees besides himself. However, he now refrains from referring to his departments at all by quantifiable nouns, instead resorting to using terms such as "engineering" to describe areas of his company. When asked on multiple occasions for the number of employees in his company, he pretended to have been asked for names, not numbers.

Exhibit A: Search the comments section (current as of 2-4-2016, 12:01 AM MST) with the terms "engineer", "employ" and "number" for the numerous noted examples: Viewable here:
      https://www.docdroid.net/aemcGEK/console...t.pdf.html

      2. He falsely claimed to have already delivered Console OS Pro. He has said in the Kickstarter comments section that he already delivered "Console OS Pro" to backers. Currently, Console OS still lacks Pro features. The Pro version, by definition, would have Pro features.

Exhibit A: "We aren't rewriting history, we did deliver Console OS Pro exclusively to backers in the timeframe stated." Viewable here:
      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mmv...t-11388942

      3. He still has not shipped any of the physical rewards to backers.

Exhibit A: As indicated by Price's following post, as of February 1st, 2016, physical rewards still have not been shipped to backers. Viewable here:
      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mmv...t-12364681

      4. He tested thousands of paid Play Store apps without prior backer consent, either using thousands of dollars of Kickstarter funds to purchase them or engaging in pirating to obtain them. He claimed online that he had tested thousands of paid Play Store apps on Console OS. This would mean he had either spent thousands of dollars to purchase them or he had obtained them illegitimately by pirating them.

Exhibit A: "We've successfully imported and tested thousands of paid play store apps, right in our own labs."
Price never responded back explaining how he acquired those apps. Viewable here:
      http://i.imgur.com/cgr9nng.jpg

      5. He falsely claimed to have already built a prototype with over 100 features already built-in before the project campaign. He has been unwilling and unable to produce the original prototype that he already "built" prior to the project. Likewise, he has been unwilling and unable to provide verifiable visual evidence, either through prerecorded video or live screencast, which showed said prototype had "over new 100 features already built-in."

Exhibit A: "We've rebuilt Android™ to be a primary operating system for your PC, 2-in-1 or PC Tablet. Over 100 new features built-in already." Viewable here:
      https://web.archive.org/web/20140614024855/https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mmv/console-os-dual-boot-android-remastered-for-the-pc

      6. He fraudulently obtained backer funds by purposely withholding information about Android-IA for Core's suspension until the refund window had past. He withheld the information that Android-IA for Core's development had been suspended, of which he was informed three days after the campaign had ended. He did not let backers know Android-IA for Core was crucial for Console OS's on-going development. He even made it appear in campaign materials that it was a direct competitor, not the basis for Console OS's code. Somehow, the rest of the industry understood Android-IA for Core's suspension to be indefinite but not Price. He did not inform backers of its suspension until backer funds could no longer be refunded, almost six months later. Per Kickstarter policy, all project creators can fully refund their backers through Amazon Payments up to 60 days after a campaign has ended.

Exhibit A: "@Dave - We're still determined to make that happen, despite pullback from partners. Had Intel called us up during our Kickstarter campaign and said 'hey, heads up, yes we can confirm we're suspending Android development for Core processors' - then we would have posted that.
We didn't get confirmation of that until three days (72 hours) after our Kickstarter campaign ended... it was a punch in the gut, frankly we're even surprised we got this far in the wake of that."

      @copier.

Using other [real] open source projects is great. Trying to hide the truth from people you took money from, is another (dishonest) thing altogether. No?

In this case, it would appear you have run afoul of the real developer of the thing you're trying to pass off as your own work.

In fact, it would appear to be the very behaviour of selling someone else's open source project (without any of your own meaningful contributiins) that angered at least some of the real developers.

You made some nice glossy marketing materials for something you claimed you had already finished in 2014. When it became clear it was never real, and you took nearly 80 thousand dollars from us, it made some backers and some non-backers and even some eventually un-backers quite unhappy.

You had so, so many chances to come clean. You refused. You offered us signed copies of thoder glossy marketing materials. For something that still doesn't work. Two. Years. Later.

When will I get my copy of Console OS PRO (which I purchased a lifetime license from you for myself and a friend waaay back in 2014). ?

When will you ship the other thing last you promised in the Kickstarter campaign?

May I please just get my money back?

    4. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. Creator on March 24, 2016

@Jason - FOSS means standing on the shoulders of giants. We are unapologetic about taking other people's open source stacks into our open source stack.

Such criticism might be valid if we went closed source. But we didn't. Every bit of Console OS is open and fully attributed on GitHub.

Good morning all, we've pushed out dozens more page revisions to the Console Wiki... and even created a couple new pages.

      http://wiki.console.com.co/

Only somewhat depressingly, we see we have more work to do. We'll keep at it until the Wiki catches back up with the release. We hope to be back on schedule this weekend.

    7. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. Creator on March 23, 2016

@Ernie - Try the 32 bit build. It has better Broadcom support due to Broadcom's closed source driver (don't blame us!)

We have pushed dozens of Wiki updates today, but this will get added to the release notes shortly too!

    8. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. Creator on March 23, 2016

@Harry - Supporting new Intel silicon is coming but it takes time. Traditional Linux distros struggle with Cherry Trail today, and Android adds another massive layer of complexity.

Intel's production Android tablets have a very specifically tuned kernel that just won't work today with PC hardware (like Surface 3). We appreciate your patience!

Quick question, will there be any support for the Broadcom BCM4324 in Lollipop?
Reason for this question is that with Console OS Express v0.4.96 (32-bit) wireless is not working :(
If yes any indications when this will be?
      Thanks for any feedback

@MMV - Please do not take this as whining or complaining. I knew the risks associated with backing you (or anyone) on Kickstarter and I hope that what little I was able to contribute helped with your development. I am one of the 52 lifetime backers and I have, to date, not been able to use Console OS. My poor Venue 8 pro died a sad and ignominious death before its time. I now have a MS Surface 3 with LTE (not a Pro 3). I would love nothing more than to be able to dual boot a version of Android on my Surface 3, but alas, I am more of a gadget geek then a technician and have not been able to make anything work. I have tried X-86 and Remix OS to no avail. I know I am not the smartest when it comes to this type of thing, but I was hoping Console OS could be an answer. Is there anyway you could help me? I live far far away in Guam and there is no one on this rock that can. I will be in San Diego soon with my Surface 3 if you have someone in the area that might be able to lend a hand. All I want for Christmas (or maybe July 4th) is to dual boot my Surface 3. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide and best of luck moving forward.

Ok would be cool if you could make it work on surface 3 as imo it is mainly used as a tablet and having android on it would be great for media consumption

    13. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. Creator on March 22, 2016

@kisamesama - Two-part answer. In the long run, yes, there will be a Marshmallow version of Console OS... barring something totally unforeseen. We already have it up and running in the lab with most of the Console OS differentiators ported over.

In the short term, what we are contemplating is an upgrade to Console OS Lollipop that would backport either Kernel 4.4 or 4.5. We should make a final decision on that by the end of the week. That may enable Surface 3 to work with Console OS Lollipop... but the main focus will be on Broadwell and Skylake (Core M) systems, if we decide to go ahead with it

Where is my copy of Console OS PRO? That I paid for.
With all those features you had ready to go in 2014?
      Where is my t-shirt?
Where are the meaningful release notes and changelogs?

Why are you disgusted with the developer responsible for the code you forked (which he claims you tried to market, without meaningful contributions).

@Kisamesa - Cherry Trail devices, especially Surface 3, will require Marshmallow.

Stable platform support from Intel, to the Linux kernel in particular, is not in mainline until Marshmallow for us. While Intel did ship a version of Lollipop for Cherry Trail devices, it is very narrow path and won't work on Surface 3.

But thanks for bringing that up, we should post a note on the Wiki and Devices areas clarifying that.

Good morning all, we have an update that should resolve most, if not all of the Terminal Emulator issues. That will go up this afternoon, and will open wide to the public.

After that we'll focus on Console Developer Rewards and getting that rolling (finally).

From there, most of the feedback (from last week's update) has been that we should accelerate up to Marshmallow, and start providing weekly builds for Marshmallow. So while the public enjoys Lollipop, our main focus with Kickstarter backers will be to begin offering Marshmallow builds on a weekly-update ring.

    27. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. Creator on March 21, 2016

@Mat - Console OS Express is easier because it does not require post-install repartitioning, and the USB boot is writable from the get-go.

You can test with Express and report back, we do have some additional NUC levers we can pull (some kernel switches with HDMI), but we need people to actually take the effort to test and report back with BIOS versions and whatnot. We can't replicate every environment with every build.

At the moment we're using v4.0, and we're about to switch to v4.4 or v4.5, so some of those switches may break in the process... again, feedback is helpful there.

    28. Mat Oldaker on March 21, 2016

What are the options for changing the Audio output, eg. line out, HDMI sound etc. I have yet to be able to boot this to test it myself on my NUC2820, contrary to your claims it's easier than the competition, whereas they boot just fine. If sound will work via HDMI I'd be willing to troubleshoot, if not I'll stick with remix.

      Thanks

      @Backers
Check out the Google search results for console os.

Apparently, not much about this project has been honest, open. We may have been scammed.

Too bad, really. It all sounded so good.

    30. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. Creator on March 19, 2016

@Jason - This is completely incorrect. We encourage everyone, including you, to re-read our past four updates. We have said we are completely committed to Console OS. You can read our change log on GitHub, right now.

We have backported hundreds of commits and changes to shore up our Lollipop builds, making sure they are the best out there.

We can't bring back Android-IA for PC. That change which happened in January 2015 did set us back. But we are continuing to work with partners, including Intel, to take the best from Android-IA and integrate it atop our fork Android-x86.

Please stop repeatedly asking for a refund. It is a Community Guidelines violation to endlessly pester us. Thanks.

What features are your "footsteps" bringing to the table (which you claim are being followed)?

Just answer a legitimate question. Show us the release notes.

Pretty basic questions. Not one straight forward answer.

Please post some evidence that you've written any real code, for any project... ever.

Just give us a reason to trust you, Chris!

@Ruthaniel - We didn't like the version that we wrote. Becuase it's a reboot of the project, the "release notes" are not possible to compare to the Android-IA for PC kernel. Our focus right now is on the known issues and updating the per device pages.

      @Copier.

I'm sure more money would solve all your issues. Past, present and future.
Remember. Console OS PRO was "ready to go", had already been "built from the gournd up" and many of the 100s of features we paid for were said to be "already working" (by you, Mr Price).

I read most of the comments on this wall this year.
Remember when you called backers trolls?

Most of the time you were asked legitimate questions in regards this project.

You kept saying all the questions were the reason you couldn't deliver .. anytihng! beyond that disaster of apparently copied code that you called DR1.

Your actions have put you in a position of needing to earn our respect and trust.
You've chosen to deflect each opportunity I've seen presented to earn some respect here.

"It's important to note that Console OS will work just fine with gazillions of other PCs too - but we're providing official targeted devices, because we want to point customers to PCs and PC Tablets that we are confident that everything will "just work" out of the box."

When things don't work out. You get honest with your supporters. You don't start calling them trolls.

You have chosen not to take any of the oh so many opportunities to just show us what happened to our money, admit you won't ever have what you sold us (Console OS PRO), and I bet most people would understand that.

This experience, however, leaves a really bad taste.

Just show us some reasons to believe you. That's all I'm asking for.

      Or, a refund.

    47. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. Creator on March 15, 2016

@Jason - We said during the Kickstarter that we could only support Surface Pro devices properly if we hit the stretch goal of $125,000.

      @Copier.

Just show us something (anything) concrete and specific in regards to where you spent our backer dollars ($78,497).

The only thing I have seen that explains where ANY of the money went is the 14 backers (who you called trolls) who have indicated you refunded their pledge. WITH OTHER BACKER PLEDGES, apparetnly.

Give us one reason to believe you.

Console OS PRO. That's what I paid for. All those features. You said they were "ready to go" in 2014!!!

You keep saying you delivered. Answering below for SP3. Saying a different model kinda works. just not WiFi? Seriously? OK. Sure.

    49. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. Creator on March 14, 2016

@Sahey - Not yet... but we're pretty darn close. Surface Covers should be working in Lollipop, but Wi-Fi still isn't.

The reason for this is that we decided to backport Kernel 4.0 improvements, this makes Bay Trail devices like the T100TA and Compute Stick work very well... but the tradeoff was Surface Pro didn't quite make it.

We had to stick to our Kickstarter commitments, and Surface Pro stretch goals weren't reached.

On the bright side, Kernel 4.4/4.5 (technically 4.5 was released earlier today) is a lot more promising, and so the Marshmallow cycle should bring Surface Pro (3) support, finally.
