Hello everyone! I invite everyone to send the following message to support@kickstarter.com :
      ----------

Email Subject: Console OS Unfair Refunding Policy

      To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to bring to your attention that Christopher Price, creator of the Console OS Kickstarter project has, without their prior approval, attempted to have users removed from the project as backers by refunding them. He did not ask for their prior permission before taking this course of action. For this reason, I am requesting that they remain on the project because a few are already in the process of sending the funds back to the project creator.

The other problem I have against this is they are only comfortable receiving a refund if all the other backers are also offered an equal opportunity for a refund. This way, then all the remaining funds will be subdivided and then fairly distributed between all those backers who want a refund. Only under these two conditions, our prior approval and the indiscriminate refunding of backers, will I and other backers accept such terms for our removal as backers to this project. Otherwise, I feel mine and others' freedom of choice is being violated.

For your information, many other backers who have not been refunded have already voiced their disapproval of Christopher Price's new selective refunding and removal policy. It is very unfair if one person be refunded while another is not, especially when one may still want to stay and the other may want to be refunded. I am in total agreement with these backers that this recent action by Christopher Price constitutes a gross disregard for equality and fairness, two fundamental human rights.

Please take appropriate and immediate action to rectify this situation. Additionally, if Christopher Price asks you to have any user removed, please be sure to consult us users first. Thank you.

      Best regards,

      [Your name here]

Actually, Price is lying. His favorite vitriol to use is calling people trolls who have exposed his deception. Kickstarter told me he may legitimately be a scammer but they do not handle any of the legal mechanics involved in obtaining a proper settlement. What you do is contact the FTC and they will take care of it from here.

If Price refuses to refund you, follow the steps outlined below on demanding a refund via the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Essentially state who you are and a brief summary of your complaint, include this link to the Summary of Allegations Against Christopher Price ( http://www.consoleosripoff.com/showthread.php… ) and especially mention that as of today only a select few backers, not all, are being refunded. Use the rest of the guide to fill in the blanks as you go through the steps.
      http://www.consoleosripoff.com/showthread.php…

Most recently, the FTC has been more and more legally active and has successfully forced guilty Kickstarter start-ups into refunding their victim backers. Therefore, if enough of us backers make "noise" through these channels, it is reasonable to conclude the FTC will take legal action and ensure financial compensation for all.

Please consider the option to report this person to the FTC. To date no working version of Console OS PRO functions. To date, since August 2014, no rewards, physical or digital have been produced and sent to backers. None. ZERO.
      EVERYONE DESERVES A REFUND. EVERYONE FROM $ 10 TO $ 1000.

This is an automated reply. We unfortunately may have to post this throughout the weekend, as a select group have committed to a "reply war" wherein they will post the same comments again and again.

If we do not reply, you won't see our side of the story - which their intention is to bury our response, with their canned comments. We regret this sincerely.

On Friday, Kickstarter agreed to ban 13 inflammatory backers that account for a majority of the posts on our comment wall. The majority of them have been cited by Kickstarter multiple times for violating Community Guidelines.

We cannot properly support other backers with Console OS Lollipop - which we are ready to ship, until they are removed.

Regretfully, the team that actually removes backers at Kickstarter in these circumstances, has informed us they may not process it until Monday. This is not the first time we have had difficulty with Kickstarter on matters like this. Delayed action on matters like this is not helpful to us, or to you our backers.

Console OS Lollipop will ship shortly after Kickstarter completes the removal of these backers. This decision was not taken lightly, and came after hours of discussion with Kickstarter's integrity team. While we do not believe we are required, we did issue these backers a refund as a courtesy - and to expedite this. We do not anticipate doing that much in the future, we will instead ask Kickstarter to ban trolls without a refund.

We are excited to be shipping Console OS Lollipop once this matter is resolved. That may now stretch into next week, because of this, but we're excited that we can make it happen! We are committed to making Console OS the best distribution of Android for PCs.

Backers are not trolls. We are pledged backers and (unfortunately for us) your customers.

Legitimate questions regarding all your apparent lies makes a troll, not!

I paid for Console OS Pro (for me and a friend!!)
Go find my money and give me a refund already.

Stop calling me and my fellow backers (and un-backers) trolls. This is our comment wall. Not yours.

I paid for Console OS Pro. I want a refund.

Name one contribution ConsoleOS has made to improve the rebranded Android x86. I don't mean adding other people's work, I mean original work from Console OS. Name one.

After 19 months of work after the death of the project, how many of the 100+ features are now available and functioning?

      Oh so true:

      Quoting from CNX article,

"...But Android-x86 project leader has quite a different opinion:

If he does make some improvements based on the android-x86 code, I’m glad to see so.

However, cheating the world that he is developing something amazing on Kickstart in 2014 but finally just copied an open source project that he degraded at first (see the competitive chart on his site) is very immoral.

When Kickstart campaign began in 2014, he promised you “A” (a much better stuff) and accept your money, but now he just deliver you “B” (a totally different stuff). If you are a backer, can you accept? If this is not a scam, what is a scam?

IMO, Christopher Price and his Console OS is *a cancer* that lives by the nutrient of android-x86.If we can’t cut it immediately, he will continue absorbing the effort of android-x86 and finally choke this project."

It is quite interesting that Kickstarter has implemented an Automated Reply feature available for this one @copier, at this time of... what was the term... Tumult was the word @copier liked to use.

Just for the record, as another member of the 'Group of 13', none of my comments were ever deleted by the Kickstarter moderation team, nor was I ever 'sanctioned.'

The 'banning' is just another deception. @copier did not have the choice of a refund as a courtesy. Kickstarter offered him the opportunity to select certain backers to prevail refunds, thus creating un-backers, or civilians so to speak.

A fine idea. But the timing an execution was aw(some)/(ful)!

Remember you PAID to be PRO!

If you did not receive 10 votes after pledging for 10 votes, just on that technicality alone you are eligible for a full refund. If you paid for CONSOLE OS PRO, the you paid for 100 plus built in features that are painless to install and work on your Intel device. If they don't, then you received ZERO. AFTER NEARLY 19 MONTHS OF WORK BACKERS HAVE ZERO. NO FUNCTIONAL OS, NI VOTES, NO 100 PLUS FEATURES, NO REWARDS, NO SHOUT OUTS ON THE CONSOLE OS SITE, NOTHING.

EVERYONE DESERVES A REFUND IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED NOTHING IN NEARLY 19 MONTHS. EVERYONE DESERVES A REFUND. EVERYONE WHO DONATED $10 TO $1000 DESERVES A REFUND DUE TO NON DELIVERY.

@Tan - As a courtesy, we did issue refunds to people we chose to ban. This was in cooperation with Kickstarter after consulting with Kickstarter's team. It's one thing to ban 13 people, who account for half our entire comment wall.

@MMV: How many people are on your team then? I am NOT, repeat NOT, asking for names, but for the number of employees. Doing a background check of your business, I see there is a total of one employee listed under the designated section for number of employees. If this is not true, just how many of you are there?

    41. Mobile Media Ventures, Inc. Creator on February 20, 2016

@Andrew - We have not lied, we met with AMD's Embedded Gaming division, and held a series of conference calls in 2013 and 2014. There were multiple teammates from Console on that call, so it's pretty laughable to assert there's only one person working here.

We aren't going to expose individuals on that team to harassment by naming them - but please, do not accuse us of lying when you didn't even bother to ask in the first place.
