AML#2 is a 28 page sci fi/ action/ adventure story. It follows directly on from #1 as the agents track their quarry deep into the jungles surrounding their walled off city. Lands unexplored for generations, overgrown and unseen. What they face as unknown as it is mysterious and dangerous.
What awaits them as they venture into this unknown territory? What monsters might they find?
The book itself is 100% complete. Interior artwork and book design done. This campaign is entirely to fund the printing costs involved. It will be a short print run with some bonus rewards for backers. More to come should the funding to go over its goal.
This is the second of a planned four book arc. Each book focusing on a specific character of the team and their unique talent.
The art and story in this book is created entirely by me, Matthew Hoddy. It is a love letter to the show I watched on early morning TV growing up. From Robotech to M.A.S.K. to Swat Kats.
A self published author & illustrator. I live in Toronto, Canada. But hail from Brisbane Australia. A lover of all things sci fi, including giant robots & monsters as well as giant robots punching monsters.
Previous books published via crowd funding or otherwise:
-Space Pyrates vol 1, 2 & epilogue (web & printed)
-Saga of Metalbeard #1, #1.5 (web & printed)
-AML #1 (printed)
Following is four pages from the story itself to give you an idea of the interior art and storytelling. This book is different from the first in that it is full colour. Issue one was majority black & white with some colour.
All the artwork was created by Matthew Hoddy. From rough storyboards, through to pencils, inks and colours.
Risks and challenges
Having run several crowd funding campaigns before this one, I am confident that I will keep my 100% fulfilment rate. The only risks and challenges I face in this regard is if something happens that does not permit me from completing fulfilment. Such as bodily or mental injury.
