Risks and challenges
At this point, all design and product development is complete. We’re ready to begin mass production once the Kickstarter meets is goal and finishes it’s campaign. Once it closes, there are two final pieces to launching
1. Mass Production - Since we have a full line of production samples, there shouldn’t be issues or surprises during mass production, but things do happen. There is always a chance a particular Mixer’s look may slightly change from the image in the Kickstarter, but any changes would be minimal and would be to help the Mixer fit stylistically with more combinations and function properly, and if a change happens we'll be very clear about that style.
2. Logistics & Shipping - To keep costs low, we’ll be sea freighting the goods to the U.S. There’s always a risk that things will be tied up in customs or a boat will be delayed, which can add on 1-2 weeks to the timeline. Once they arrive, we’ll fulfill all orders from our headquarters in Austin, TX. Our team has regular experience shipping hundreds of orders a day across the country. We’ll also be developing special procedures due to the nature of the variety of combinations of orders to ensure accuracy. We’ve already re-organized our warehouse for expedited & accurate picking/packing in anticipation of this.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
