Dear Tsuyako Family,
I hope this email finds you all well and that you guys are having wonderful life ;)
First of all, thank you for reading this message, and also thank you again for your support on Tsuyako back when I was just starting my career as a director. In the last three and a half years, Tsuyako had traveled over 35 countries, 100 film festivals, winning 43 awards and 3 nomination, and was qualified for Academy Award for the year of 2012 and 2013. Tsuyako has touched many people's heart around the world, gave us the opportunity to speak at conferences, universities to talk about the film and social issues. The film was also mentioned in many articles and books that are currently in the process of being published. Needless to say, these accomplishments would never be possible without your contribution, and we deeply thank you for believing in our vision, and giving Tsuyako the life that it deserves.
Now, last summer, Tsuyako won a grand jury prize at Hollyshorts Film Festival, and the award came with a post production (color session) service by Company 3. But to use their service, we have to shoot the film. Thus, I have decided to make my passion project Where We Begin. We have shot the film last month in southern Utah where I began my life in America, and now we are reaching out to friends and family to be part of our new journey.
Where We Begin is a narrative dance short film and a collaborative piece with renown Japanese post-rock instrumental band MONO. This film touches on the current social issues of war, multi racial couples, poverty, child trafficking and the love that keeps us together which are told through visual images and dance performance.
Please visit our page - and if this project speaks to you in anyway, we would love your support in any level of contribution or even just spreading the word. We have a great list of incentives from us and MONO to ensure that you will be happy with your contribution ;)
Thank you very much in advance for your time and support! Please contact me if you have any questions to further discuss about the project. Domo Arigatou!
