Unfortunately landlord issues have come up
Heartbreaking to say the least.
But it’s also illuminated that while I love the space, the location in this building and the landlords here are not going to be conducive to further growth and the business will be better served by moving to a new location.
Yup, Mission: Comics & Art is moving!!! And you’re some of the first to hear it. But it most likely not till around this time next year. I’ve begun the hunt for a new location already. Ideally I’d like to find a space on Mission St. or Valencia. But also there’s also no immediate rush with another year left on the lease here.
I see this as a great opportunity to set-up Mission: Comics & Art for its next phase with much more experience and knowledge then when I was first starting off. I’ve got faith that the right space will become available in the next year, along with a reasonable landlord that will allow a sign as envisioned!

On the one hand, that's definitely a major drag... but on the upside, being able to create a new space/environment is also very exciting. Here's hoping it's worthy of the awesome signage that will someday be made real!

As I'm sure me or my dog will be envisioned on whatever sign appears, I will say that I will shop at Mission: Comics & Arts for as long as live in the city. you've won my business from every other shop in town, deal with my 1-month lagged comic collections, and I feel a bond.. a sense of community with your shop. Mission: Comics & art 4eva.

That's a bummer! I hope you find a good location in the neighborhood!
