It's December 9, & it has been about two months since the project has been launched. I'm happy to have not only reached the initial goal, but excited that the needed funds of $4800 is becoming a reality! (SEE UPDATE : NOV. 25) Please pass the word on if you believe in this project & help me make it to $4800!!!!
This last week has been a whirlwind of two shows, debuting this project to the general public (SEE UPDATE : DEC 9). I've never felt this project was meant just for the gallery goers - and have gotten some great response! In fact, there is one more show coming up this Sunday December 13 @ Architechtural Artifacts from 10am - 5pm. I'm excited for this venue, because I love architectural Artifacts - it's the perfect backdrop for this project; it's a home to "objects of the lost world!" So if you are a chitown resident - please stop on by, introduce yourself, see the limited edition work, the first published book, & small prints - all available for sale & dialogue....
Speaking of dialogue : about a week ago I dreamed up an idea: to host a lecture series inviting designers, architects, bankers, realtors, the homeless, the community - you name it - & start discussing and implementing solutions to our out of date mortgage system among other issues that need to be addressed. This will be announced as I continue to meet with interested parties. The lecture series will be scheduled for sometime in June/July of 2010.
Next up : I've decided to showcase Holland as the next country in the series. Who knows maybe kickstarter will be the platform to continue funding this project of research & fine art ;) Learn more about the history of the squatting laws of Holland & the threat the law faces in the new year.
