The Everyday by Miró Watches
The Everyday by Miró Watches.
We designed the Miró Everyday to be the greatest watch with reason.
It's a daily wearer for every man and woman who loves watches, and who wants the perfect everyday watch for daily life. The Everyday is a modest 40mm piece, designed with the utmost attention to detail. A watch to wear with style and pride, and a watch to take a peak at even though you are already perfectly aware of what the time is.
We call it the Everyday because that is what we tried to create, a companion for the journey of everyday life.
A daily wearer
As watch freaks ourselves, we are always on the lookout for the perfect piece. We know there is no such thing as a watch for all occassions, and we know true watch lovers could never have just one watch. Still, there are some watches that always end up getting most of the wrist time and is somehow just plain perfect. We call these the daily wearers, know for their versatility and ability to go with just anything. Whether it is a cocktail party, dinner with friends or for work, this watch will handle it all.
Automatic and Quartz
We decided to make this watch in two different versions. It has the same design dna, but there's a difference when it comes to the movement behind. This is the heart of the watch, the workhorse that makes the watch sweep or tick and of course an important part. The two options are the Quartz powered version and the Automatic version
Both these movement types have their advantages and disadvantages and we leave it up to you as a customer to choose. They are both great watches, just a little bit different when it comes to the machinery.
The Quartz version is the more affordable and also more reliable when it comes to keeping time, but it can't beat the soulful sweeping seconds in the intricate little machine of the automatic movement and as a bonus the see-through caseback that means you can admire it all.
For the Miró Everyday Automatic, we have teamed up with japanese movement maker Miyota who have produced quality movements since forever. For the Auto version, we use the Miyota 9015, a great workhorse that has received numerous great reviews the last years and which we have used previously over the years. It is important to note that this is a trusted and reliable movement that will be able to be repaired and serviced by pretty much every watch maker around the globe.

When designing a watch, a great amount of small design decisions has to be made, all adding up to the final product. Everything needs to be considered. Everything from designing the details of the dial, to the hands and crystal. Also the bigger parts as the case which in itself has to be carefully designed. Not to forget the movement has to be decided and considered when designing the case. For us, it all starts as a rough idea of what kind of watch we want to create and then continues as drawings as a means of exploring the design. As the design concept becomes more clear, it will be more carefully drawn and then further developed in the computer where renderings are made to evaluate further. In the end, these drawings will be transformed into production drawings which will be the base for production.
For us, as perfectionists, we dont want to compromise on a single one of these details. This means the development takes more time, because every little detail needs to be considered and taken care of. Samples have to be created to see how small changes affects the appearance as a whole. As any creative process, this can be tremendous fun but also a frustrating and time consuming process. In the end all the hard work and decisions back and forth will be worth it once everything falls into place and the product is finished.
What we have focused on with this watch is to create a piece that blends the features of elegance and simplicity with wearability to create a watch that will have its own unique design DNA. We aimed with the Everyday for a watch that won't go under the radar but still don't scream desperately for attention.
An important feature of the Everyday is sapphire crystal on both quartz and auto version to make sure it will stay scratch free and stand up for the test of everyday life. The crystal also features an anti reflective coating to make it glare free from all angles and in tricky light conditions.
In a watch that is aimed to wear every day we of course need superluminova hands because it will simply come in handy those moments when you are in a dark environment and need a quick glance for the time. As a bonus it's also a design feature and great detail with the tiny added contrast between the whiteish luminova and shiny stainless steel. For the hour indices the Everyday have stick markers with Superluminova applied to the top surface, while the sides are left polished stainless steel. The stick markers will add some depth to the dial and create some sexy looking shadows.
A Timeless Classic
What we set out to create here is a watch that won't only stand the test of time in terms of quality but also in terms of design and appearance. If you have a trained eye and are used to look at watches, it's easy to see the vintage influence we sneaked in to this piece with the domed crystal and the stitches on the leather strap. At the same time, we wanted to create a modern updated look which blends elegance with simplicity, to marry the vintage style with the new in a sleek updated look that can be adapted to go with anything and look fresh and crisp for a long time. It's all wrapped up in a modest sized 40mm package.
The dial of the Miró has a pinstriped depth texture that works wonders with the light and creates a distinct difference in the color of the dial depending on viewing angle. It's accompanied by a constrasting outer band for the minute markers that further enhance readability and contrast.
We know our customers are smart, and have good knowledge about the products they are purchasing. Therefore we'd like to make it crystal clear what components is used in the Everyday. To save you some time, we can point out that the specs are exactly the same for both versions apart from the movement. We have our production placed in Hong Kong with a trusted partner of ours.
The strap is always personal, so we don't want to limit ourselves here. You should be able to make the Everyday yours with your favorite strap whether it is one from our starting package or an aftermarket strap. Getting an extra strap is also a great way to mix up the look of your watch and make it ready for every possible occassion or outfit. This choice is a personal touch like choosing interior options in your new car.
The watch is available with Quartz and Automatic movement. The difference between these, apart from the movement, is the "AUTOMATIC" badge on the auto version. Pictured on all the images in this pitch is the auto version, quartz version wont have this badge.

If we can reach 165 000 sek in funding we'll also add the following vegetable tanned leather straps to the choice of strap to your watch! These straps will look great with all versions and age beautifully as you wear them!
Please note that the Chocolate 2.0 and Honey 2.0 is the new generation of these straps that we currently have on our website but these are a big step up in terms of leather quality.
Hope you'll like this stretch goals and help us reach it to be able to offer these fine straps as an alternative.
The gift box
This is the standard gift box the watch will be shipped in. A simple, yet very stylish and carefully designed box made to keep your watch safe during shipping and still present it in the most elegant way, while still not breaking the bank and adding to much on the end price. Of course as a bonus it can still be used as a perfect place to store the watch while not in use by placing the top lid on the bottom.
We also made a complimentary leather travel box, that is great for travelling and can also be used for storage when the box is not in use.
This one is included for the early bird backers and in the combo rewards as stated in the reward description. It can aslo be backed individually with a leather strap included.
We need your help to make the next generation Miró watch. Miró Watches as a brand has been around since 2 years as a small independent brand. Now we want to take the next step and continue to develop new fantastic models and the Miró Everyday is the first step.
As you can see in the pictures and from our pitch above, the Everyday Automatic and Everyday Quartz are amazing watches at excellent value and with your help we'll launch it to the public. You as backers are a key ingredient in this journey, as you will be the brand ambassadors and proud owners of these pieces. Not only do we need your voices and help in spreading the word about the campaign, but also your valuable opinions in the future development of new models. Feel free to share your opinions in the comments, we are here to listen.

Risks and challenges
We have been working with watches since a few years and have good knowledge about the process.
Everything is ready and in place for the Miró Everyday to start production. We just need the final funding in place together with the Kickstarter community to place the final order.
The main risk point in a project like this is delivering all the rewards in time, as all the components comes from different suppliers, and specifically the movements have a long delivery time. We have taken this into consideration when creating our timeline and added some margin to avoid disappointments. We hope to be able to deliver before these dates.
Another risk point in a watch projects is when it comes to quality and inspection. To make sure we have full control over this we will have our partner in Hong Kong make the quality control as well as also make our own checks on all pieces that will be sent to the backers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
