We are a team of engineers who are enthusiastic fans of robots and have many years of experience in designing robotics, CNC, and motion control. We are committed to bring the robot arm into the home, university, workshop and make robot arm accessible to everyone.
So we came up with the idea of creating a mini-industrial robot arm half years ago. After countless nights of research, testing, and debugging, we finally made it come to life.
Mirobot is our first desktop robot arm. It is open-sourced and highly extendable with all kinds of ports, visualized programming, and APIs. We also included many user-friendly and easy to understand features so that Mirobot can be enjoyed by everyone, from beginners to experts. We believe that Mirobot will allow people to learn about the exciting world of robotics and help them become creative makers for the future.
We have been through three iterations of product prototypes, including the optimization of the structure, control board, and software. After more than half a year of testing, we have basically completed the product verification and have cooperated with numbers of Chinese companies to implement the production, processing, assembly, and delivery.
We are a technology-driven startup based in Hackensack, New Jersey, USA, and we also have partner companies in Shenzhen, Beijing, and Suzhou, China, which guarantee the productivity of our products. In the future, our team will create more versatile robot arms to meet your needs!
Risks and challenges
With our years of experience in the robotics industry, we are very confident with our process and production schedule for Mirobot.
We have talked in detail about the production issues with our partner companies in Shenzhen and Suzhou, China, including the supply of all spare parts. The potential risks during processing and assembly testing are expected.
1. One potential risk is preparing for the injection molding manufacturing process. We have developed a detailed injection molding process and the production plan to produce at any time. Mold design has been initially verified by the prototype.
2. Secondly, since Mirobot is very small and it has many motors and sensors, it requires a lot of strick testing during the assembly process. We are still designing relevant testing mechanisms and instruments to ensure the efficiency of production.
However, we also know that hidden obstacles and challenges often occur. Because of that, we’ve made sure to account for some amount of craziness or unforeseen problems that may occur in our schedule.
