The Flatwoods Monster, The Beast of Bray Road and Lake Champlain's monster, Champ are three of the most well-known Cryptids. Yet their stories have barely been touched upon in the visual medium. That's why, in 2018, Small Town Monsters will be delving into the three most electrifying tales in the world of the paranormal.

In The Flatwoods Monster: A Legacy of Fear, we'll be bringing you a dramatically different look at the truth behind one of Appalachia's best-known stories. Rife with brand new information regarding this landmark UFO/Monster encounter, the film also features interviews with two of the only living, original witnesses; Ed and Fred May. For the first time, take a trip back to the 1950's Cold War era of flying saucers and bizarre creatures brought to life through eyewitness testimony, dramatic recreations, stylized animated sequences and stop motion animation!

The Bray Road Beast will be our second traditional documentary film of 2018, following "Flatwoods Monster" and will debut early next Fall. Linda Godfrey takes us through decades of bizarre encounters with an upright walking, dog-like being who stalks a rural road near the town of Elkhorn, Wisconsin. The film will delve into not just the Bray Road sightings but the centuries-long history of terrifying, "werewolf" lore that exists around the globe!
Finally, On the Trail of... Champ will launch off into the deepest recesses of Vermont's Lake Champlain in search of the creature said to reside in its' waters. "On the Trail of..." will do just what the title implies as we invite you along on a quest to uncover the history and mystery behind one of America's oldest tales. Through eyewitness interviews, detailed narrated scenes, animated sequences, and actual footage taken from one of the largest Lake Champlain expeditions ever mounted you'll get to experience the adventure for yourself. Best of all? On the Trail of... Champ is an episodic mini-series with more room for storytelling than the last three STM movies combined!
We'll be using all funds raised from this Kickstarter to handle post-production of "Flatwoods" and "Champ" as well as pay for the full production costs of The Bray Road Beast. Bray Road will be the first film we've shot on an Arri Cinema camera; a challenge we've been wanting to tackle for a while and one which will dramatically improve the visual side of Small Town Monsters.
Thanks for backing and for being a part of Small Town Monsters!

Risks and challenges
As with every film we've made there are challenges along the way but, now into our sixth and seventh films (Flatwoods Monster and Bray Road) and our first miniseries, we have put together a great team capable of handling anything that comes up.
