The final leg.
A quick update for you...
There was another little 'unknown' shipping/customs delay but we've just received notice that the US warehouse have taken delivery of their shipment which means it has to be checked in and then they will start to dispatch pronto - we anticipate that will be today. But that will definitely happen this week.
However, we are still awaiting the UK delivery to arrive, we experienced more delays than expected, as restrictions have become tighter in recent history. Believe it or not they had an issue with the ‘batteries’!?! I kid you not.
But finally, they are moving again and on route to us. Last check-in was Northampton!! Our warehouse is in Hampshire - so again - we expect delivery today. As soon as the UK fulfilment team have received the lights we’ll let you know. We would estimate shipping to start at maximum of 24 hrs after that.
I will let you know again when they are definitely going out on their final leg journeys.
We have experienced a number of frustrations in this delivery since I posted an update last week that we did not anticipate. None of it our fault! Customs and import have been getting progressively tighter which unfortunately throws up unseen delays. We’ve been using the same people to export and import our goods for years and with the first generation lights we never experienced delays and checks like this before, even with all the correct paperwork we are still having ‘human’ errors. I am sorry that we've not been able to rapidly overcome these issues and thank you once again for your patience.
Before I sign off, I've been asked by two of our backers if I could help spread the news about their own crowdfunding projects, which I am very happy to do.
If you love battery-free technology take a look at Arara - Battery Free Wheel Mounted Bike Lights who are set up for pre-orders on Indiegogo - link here. The project is by two brothers based in Siberia, Russia - who know a bit about staying visible in cold dark winters.
Also, if you're into yoga then this project called Badd Karma might be for you - limited-run, sustainably made slogan sweats and tees. Supporting social inclusion projects - link here.
Thanks again for your patience and support!
