@Michelle, we don't include the oars, and I'll send out the hand paddles as soon as we get those in. I'll send an update. Our instructions are all online, please visit this link for all instructions, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mikewofsey/go-further-with-backpack-barge-ultralight-box-boat/posts/1866297
can you please send instructions for setup plus the paddles
I thought I was supposed to get paddles and oars and all I got was the boat with no instructions whatsoever, I want assembly instructions and paddles/oars
Hi Gigi - I ordered both the oars and UV protectant on Ebay. The oars cost $5.99 and the UV Protectant was $12.86 for 10 ounces. There were big price variances on Ebay for both these items so make sure you don't overpay. Hope you have fun with your boat.
Received my boat in the mail today. Now I just need to find time to go use it. Spring = massive amounts of yardwork! Any where did you order your oars and UV protectant from? I'll want to use the UV for my folding canoe also. Thanks.
Yay, my boat arrived yesterday. I put it together this morning, pretty simple thanks to your videos. I thought hand paddles were included but I did not receive these, just the boat and repair kit. I can't wait to try it out. Thank You.
I can't wait to get my boat. I just ordered oars, a seat and UV protectant. I'm ready to go.
Congratulations on a successful campaign. I wish it would have had the attention you had hoped for. I think it's a great product. I'm looking forward to floating down the river and even sledding, which I would not have thought of if not for your video.
Just backed. We are out in Calif. near San Francisco. Our Scout troop has canoes, but I am thinking of this for some of the high country trips where you can't get a boat without carrying it. I personally bought a folding canoe, (look up Onak on Kickstarter). I am thinking that this will allow me to carry more gear, well, like a barge!
Looking forward to get out in the water.
Looking forward to using my Backpack Barge in the Port Huron Float Down in Michigan next summer. :>)
@ Helen Marshall - That's how I used it, just paddling around in the water. Add a little folding seat and I could paddle for hours.
Got to ask as you selling for crossing any good for potting around in the water for a few hours, or enjoying marshes
