As you can see I've been experimenting with the look of the game. Don't worry if you loved the look of the demo, it's not going away. My plan is to use different looks for different levels or to just have styles be player selectable for fun. Mostly I'm just having fun experimenting with the simulated vector projection over a raster screen from the original arcade machine.
A lot is going to happen getting from demo to game. It's going to be a wild ride and I want to know what you think at every turn. So tell me!
We've been popping up here and there on the internet. Check out Byte Driver on Ausretrogamer and Gaming On Linux. We're also the Indie Drop News Kickstarter Game of the Week, so that's pretty cool. If you know anyone else that should know about Byte Driver, go ahead and tell them now.
No really... tell someone!
So we're hovering just over 80% funded and it's early, so that's pretty great. But we're also a few days in so we're going to be entering the dreaded Kickstarter trough of despair.
It's lonely in here! But you can help by tweeting or tooting or posting a few words about this campaign. Even if I'm the only person who sees it, it will help!
"Byte Driver was my favorite game back in the arcade! Please help @VectorHat help me bring it home! http://kck.st/2A8GXih"
"Byte Driver is going to be rad or this one nerd I know is going to be sad! Check it out! http://kck.st/2A8GXih"
or make one up yourself. You can do it!
Bonus points if you include an image and... as luck would have it... I have made a bunch for you to choose from: https://giphy.com/channel/vectorhat
That's it for now. Stay rad, nerds!
