The goal is to raise $5000 to finish recording, mixing and mastering these songs in Atlanta. There will be brand new tunes, “re-imaginings” of songs I’ve written like “Midnight In Harlem” and a rare cover or two. I’ll be tapping my friends from Scrapomatic (Paul Olsen, Dave Yoke), the Tedeschi Trucks Band (Kofi Burbridge, Tyler Greenwell) and others whom I’ve always hoped to work with, but never had the time or chance to. I’ll need to pay for a lot of people-movin’, hotel-stayin’ and studio-recordin’. I’m excited to add to the conversation of 21st century blues, and I need your help in making this dream come true!
Risks and challenges
Writing personalized postcards to each qualifying backers will surely be a time-consuming and hand-cramping process. But I felt the best way to show my sincere gratitude was with a note from the heart. Putting thought and effort into each of these notes means that you might have to wait a few months for your postcard, but I'll do everything I can to make it worth the wait... And the good news is you'll have some new music to listen to while you're waiting.
Also, we're still considering working with a label to release and distribute the album, so in the event we do sign with a label, delivery of a full album download may be delayed an additional month or two.
If you're interested in hosting a concert, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org before purchasing and we'll discuss logistics.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
