Day 1 Recap and Special Bonus!

We're off to an awesome start and I'm very confident that Maximum Apocalypse will become a thing. You guys are absolutely the best! Thanks to everyone who has backed, asked a question or helped spread the word. Everyone can monitor the progress on Kickstarter though so let's get to something a bit more fun.

Bonus Card Unlocked: The Scientist

I know a lot of backers are excited to get to Stretch Goals.  We will reveal the first 3 shortly after the project is fully funded, but as a special thank you here's a new card for everyone: The Scientist.

If any of you have taken a look at the Mission Log book, you'll know that the Zombie Apocalypse missions revolve around rescuing a scientist then collecting samples and then attempting to cure the outbreak.  Now instead of keeping track of this with a token or by memory - everyone will be able to pass around this card with the rules of the Scientist stated on the card.

Bosses!

A lot of the videos have not really shown off how Boss cards work, so I thought I'd take a moment to explain and highlight a few.  Boss cards are basically much stronger and more powerful monster cards that are triggered late in a mission by getting to the bottom of the monster deck or at a certain time based on your mission.  They suck. Each Apocalyptic theme has at least two bosses so you can pick secretly and never know which boss you may be facing or you can decide as a group and be prepared.

The Zombie Apocalypse features a Zombie Horde and the grotesque Zombie Queen. The Zombie Horde deals damage to all players on their tile whereas the Zombie Queen birth a new zombies every time that you kill one until she is destroyed.

Oh man, this is looking so cool. A mix of TWD (tv show + videogames+apps+comics), The Last of Us (videogame + comic) BUT all in a great looking boardgame... I'll do my best to promote this.

@Stavros - yeah that's wrong. Bosses are ususally shuffled into the bottom 5-10 cards of the 25 card monster deck or triggered at a certain point in the mission i.e. when you reach the scientist barricaded in the Police Station, you draw the boss card.

Bosses are triggered at certain times? In the Dukes of Dice review he got the horde as the very first draw :)
